Located in the historic Devenish Building on 17th Avenue Southwest, Danielle’s Consignment Boutique specializes in the resale of high-end clothing, shoes and accessories for women. According to owner Danielle Hadden, Calgary is one of the most consignment-savvy cities in the country. “Calgary women like to be well-dressed and well put together,” she says. “ The boutique resells an extensive range of labels and brands including Michael Kors, Juicy Couture, Lululemon and more.

The shop's consignment policy works in a rotation that allows customers to either net a profit from the resale of their own consigned items or shop for gently worn brand-name wardrobe staples at a discounted price. Danielle finds that most of her clientele both consign and shop at the store. “They drop off. They take more,” she says. When styles or trends go out of season, clients can consign their older garments and pick up some newer wardrobe staples on consignment from other clients. “Consignment shoppers are a little more adventurous. They like to mix it up,” says Danielle.
