Knickers ’n Lace, a Victorian-style lingerie shop in Willow Park Village, offers women a wide range of both underwear and sleepwear. Stepping inside the elegant, chandelier-lit shop with its warm wood decor and comfortable upholstered chairs, it’s apparent the shop’s specialty is bras. Owner Ronna Johnstone says that 80 per cent of her clientele are women who simply cannot find their bra sizes in department stores.

Synthetic and cotton-blend bras range in cup sizes from AAA to N and in band sizes from 26 to 56 in bright jewel colours as well as the ever-popular basics — white, nude and black. Models include sports bras, nursing, underwire, wireless and post-surgical bras. The store carries specialty bras for women who have undergone mastectomies or other surgeries. These attractive, self-esteem-boosting garments include the Anita, a comfortable, silk-lined model free of metal parts with the exception of its clasp.

    Wouldn’t even let me finish talking before shaking her head as to why she couldn’t help me with a fitting. Nothing like feeling humiliated instead of waiting for me to finish talking and then providing some advice based on my situation. I highly do not recommend if you want to support local find somewhere else where people have customer service or even people skills. I would choose zero stars but that’s not an option.

    I have browsed Tiffany's looking at $80 000 rings in their salon, had amazing customer care at all kinds of stores from Wal-Mart to Nordstrom or even shopping the magnificent mile of designer boutiques in Chicago....although have not before my experience at Knickers 'N Lace understood what disrespectful and dismissive rude customer service actually and truly was. Went into the shop as it has been around for decades and has been known to carry a wide selection and be known for their fittings.

    not that great

    There in Feb2011--sales girl started out enthusiastic, then rapidly lost interest. Had to go on to sales floor twice to find her--she had no other customers. Gave me 3 items, said I had to choose between them, and basically left. When I expressed interest in one--she said "Well, if that is the way you like to wear it!". I was buying a bra in the $180 range. Expected a little more attention and less attitude. Won't make the mistake of shopping here again, and will let others know.
