I have been bringing my dogs to Mrs. Beesley's for over 10 years now. What's very important to me is the staff genuinely love dogs. This is what I see at Mrs. Beesley's every time I walk through the door. All the people I have dealt with over the years are friendly, courteous and so loving with my dogs. Which is SO important to me. Re: beejay21 review. Knowing full well your rescue dog is special needs, YOU are the one that should get the bad review! I suggest you seek out a groomer that does house calls. All groomer shops are going to be stressful for your type of dog due to the high exposure to many sounds, smells and dogs. It's not Mrs. Beesley's fault. Mrs. Beesley's is not open on the weekends and that's too bad for the customer. BUT....I very much appreciate that the shop owner values family time for herself and her staff that she has not been swayed to open up 7 days a week like every other business in town. Keep up the good work and I will continue to spread the word that Mrs. Beesley's is a great place to bring your dog for grooming and that it is a business where customers and their dogs come first and staff actually make eye contact and CARE!!
I took my Shitzu in for a grooming. My Shitzu is a very anxious dog and has regular panic attacks. After a few failed attempts to have her groomed at other grooming businesses she only trusted me to groom her coat. I did what I could for her and groomed her coat the best that I could, but always felt she deserved better. While eating an excellent restaurant in the same strip mall I noticed the Mrs Beesley's Puppy Parlor sign. The business appealed to me cause my home town is a smaller town and the business just had that small town family run appeal to it for me. When I took my Shitzu in, I was quite astounded at how comfortable she was just walking through the door and even more astounded when she almost immediately took to the lady at the front desk. Then another lady took her in the back, who seemed to have a way with my Shitzu too! My Shitzu was shaking a bit, but she allowed the nice lady to groom her fully. Wow, what a relief... And she looked great after the grooming and seemed quite proud too! The groomer even put a bow on her. She looked so cute. Thanks Mrs Beesley's Puppy Parlor. We will be back!!!!! :)
I am eager to share the upstanding quality of service I received from Mrs Beesley's Puppy Parlor. I appreciated my two dogs being reassured as they were escorted to the back, it not only is comforting for them, but for myself as well. The cut & style were above what I have found from the bigger chains, seems like those ones don't take the time to go over as much details as they do at Mrs Beesley's. The lady at the front was so friendly and courteous, (obviously a family oriented business), the whole atmosphere was so refreshing, unlike anything I have been to before. The price was just as competitive as anywhere else, I will be back for sure.
it takes 7 1/2 hrs to groom a little 11 lb dog......dropped my rescue dog off @ 9:00 ( their only appt sched is drop off between 7:30 to 9:30??????). More like a kennel date! Told the fellow at the desk that he was a rescue dog who had been left @ a kennel......my little dog was shaking to death. I asked for a pick up time and was told between 12:00 to 1:00. By 3:00, I called to find out when my dog would be ready.....in about another hour! Suggested that was not great and then told the dog would be ready in 1/2 hour.....really?????? My little dog had already been abandoned and I am sure that is exactly what he felt after being left for 7 1/2 hrs. What a terrible job they did in that 1/2 hour.....would not go back there, even if they gave me grooming free for a lifetime.......a little rescue dog, who no doubt spent at least 7+ hrs in a crate. No compassion for the animals they supposedly groom.....Avoid at all costs ( and pretty expensive at that)
We pick up our dog from Mrs Beesley's Puppy Parlor(380 Canyon Meadows Dr. SE Calgary). The owner of Mrs Beesley’s, was yelling on animals. Few minutes later my dog’s paw start actively bleeding. We went to animal clinic and we pay 40$ to stop the blood. In the clinic they said that all nails cut down very short. Dog’s hair cut was looks terrible too. We never, never go there again!!!
I just recently had my dog in for the first time at Mrs. Beesley's, and I was very happy. My baby looked so beautiful, and the haircut was perfect. I have been to other groomshops and have had the same haircut and was paying $70, for pretty much the same qaulity, while at Mrs. Beesley's I paid $50! Such a deal! Overall I was very happy with my experience. :) The groomshop is beautifully decorated. Great price for a great haircut. Friendly. I will definatly be coming back, and I highly recommend it!
I have been a customer for 3-4 years now. I find the quality of grooming varies based on the individual. It really is hit or miss even though I ask for the same thing everytime. Uneven, jagged cuts where my dog looks like she's had somebody jab her with the razor and too many times where she doesn't even smell like she was washed has left me looking elsewhere permanently. Expect to leave your dog for the day even if you get there right at opening. Left me feeling like no quality when they're just churning out lots of dogs for the day.

Mrs Beesleys has had recent staff change with a few positions. Like in every business there are bumps in the road and we feel we have smoothed them out. We pride ourselves on good quality grooms.
Wonderful service. My dog loves to go here. She always gets excited. They do a beutiful job on her hair and treat her well. They are also reasonably priced.
