“Carla is one of the top gemmologists in Canada, definitely in Alberta. She has more credentials than anybody,” says Clinton Beck proudly. Indeed, Carla Beck is one of the few gemologists who is also a Registered Master Valuer, trained in personal property appraisals specific to jewellery and loose gemstones. A microbiologist and biochemist by training, Carla turned her scientific skills to gemmology when she began working with Clinton back in 2001.
