Believe it or not but I've never had pizza before I went to Famosos but my boyfriend insisted we go despite my aversion to breads and carbs. I was skeptical at first but after trying a bite of his meatball pizza I was hooked! I've never had anything melt in my mouth the way this pizza did! And I never imagined pizza could be so absolutely delicious! The staff were very understanding and accommodating of my first pizza experience and even brought out a special dessert just for me! I felt truly special and am so happy that I decided to lose my pizza virginity to Famosos. They had me at hello.
This Edmonton-born pizza chain serves up authentic Neapolitan pizzas. Though you order at the counter before being seated, this “fast casual” style of dining kind of adds to the ambiance and food. They are known for their white sauce pizzas, although the red sauce is tasty, too. If you're adventurous, try the Cavoletti, which features oven-roasted Brussels sprouts, crispy prosciutto, gorgonzola cheese, dates, walnuts and a touch of honey.View this Smart List

For those with milder gluten allergies, Famoso is a tasty option. There is minimal difference between their gluten-free and regular pizzas, and they’re both cooked in a stone oven with the freshest ingredients. You can choose from tempting pies like the spicy Thai, pepperoni and roasted mushrooms and primavera.
