We've been to swiss chalet 3 times. The food is not very good. dry chicken, dry dry ribs, watery gravy, salad with wrong dressing or even no dressing (happened when we take out). However, the service is the worst I've ever seen. Try to put youself in this: you waited in front of the counter for a while just want to pay and leave but serverS just walk by and not even bother looking at you. Finally a waiter shows up behind the counter and you have to say hi to stop him and tell him that you want to pay. Then he THROW the change at you. Hey, waiter with in Swiss Chalet. Try to put the change on the table, we know how to pick it up! !

take-out needs checking

Lethbridge Swiss Chalet dissapoints and may well wipe out years of patronage at Swiss Chalets across Ontario. Exhausted after spending the day touring Waterton, the familiar square building on HWY 5 was a welcome sight. Take-out was quick, as expected, even after our server had to go get help from the supervisor regarding the "Summer Sensation" add-on I ordered to go with the family pak (with all the advertising, you'd think that'd be a no-brainer... but as long as the supervisor knows, that's enough, it seems). Anyway, comfort food in hand, we rushed home to the resort we're staying for the week... and couldn't enjoy our meal MISSING the dinner rolls, sauce(!) and the "Summer Sensation" chocolates!!! In all the years we've been ordering take-out from the Swiss Chalets in Toronto, etc. we've never had to do their job of checking the bags they hand over -- unless this was intentional?!

Our fourth visit in four weeks. Food and service...

Our fourth visit in four weeks. Food and service were both good on openning night, however things have been not so good during our other visits. Long waits to get in are understandable but long waits for the food, very cold food, sauce, etc, rock hard buns, orders being served at different times make it difficult to rate this Swiss Chalet very high. Apart from the above, the food quality was good and the hostess and waitresses tried to make up for the delays...I don't fault them for the problems. I LOVE SWISS CHALET FOOD, just not at this outlet. PLEASE improve soon as we all have been waiting for a Swiss Chalet in Lethbridge for a long time. For now though I will get my quarter chicken fix in Calgary, Red Deer or Edmonton.

I've never been to a Swiss Chalet and have heard...

I've never been to a Swiss Chalet and have heard nothing but good things, I'm afraid I was sorely disapointed. I understand that when a restaurant opens things are busy, and staffing is challenging in our current market, but I'm surprized I stayed for food. We didn't have to wait long for a table and some water, but apperently they forgot to inform the waitress that we were part of her section, and not until we complained about being ignored 15 mins later did we get drinks. When the food arrived, and in a timely manner it smelled wonderful...and than was the end of the good. The fries were cold. The chicken was tasteless and very red towards the bone. The Ribs were already cold and while the barbecue sauce smelled great, it had no really flavour. The "swiss chalet sauce" is a joke! This sauce was luke warm watered down gravy with too much rosemary. Simply disgusting. I would like to note that one the hostess informed our waitress that we were in our section, she was a delight, but you couldn't pay me to eat here again.
