The beauty of the workshops offered at Salisbury Greenhouse is that they’re free to attend – you simply need to purchase your own supplies. Workshops typically last between 60 to 90 minutes. Popular workshops include hanging flower baskets, fairy gardens, build-your-own terrarium and succulent window frames. You can attend one of their public workshops, or book your own private function. Check out their website for handy step-by-step guides along with pictures on a variety of DIY projects.

Salisbury Greenhouse is a family-owned business, opened by Helen and Fred Sproule in 1975. Their son, Bob, eventually took over, and he and his three sons now run it. Salisbury Greenhouse is open year-round, has a large gift-shop and sells indoor and outdoor plants and gardening supplies. They have workshops and a DIY section on their website with photos and free instructions for making seed bombs, succulent window frames and more. Workshops are also free, although supplies are not included.
