Sam Assaf has been working with hair since he was 12 years-old, first starting in a local barbershop in Lebanon. “I came to Canada in 1995 and went the regular route through high school, but afterwards I went back to hair. It’s always been my passion.”
When the opportunity came up to buy Deor Hair Studio in 2008, Sam took it. After doing hair in Canada for 11 years, he decided it was time to get serious and own a few hair studios. “I own and am partners in a few barbershops and salons throughout Edmonton and St. Albert,” says Sam. “I’m experienced in running a business: I know my strengths and weaknesses, and I know the ups and downs.”
One of Sam’s strengths is providing customer satisfaction; there are many repeat customers coming through the doors of Deor. Sam’s specialty is men’s hair, but there are other stylists available to make sure female customers get a great cut as well. As far as weaknesses go? “Unfortunately, we cannot offer such styles like beads and cornrows,” Sam admits. “But I can do an Afro and will never say no to that!”

Would not go back...
Would not go back. Customer servicelacking with one of the stylist there. For example, when I asked "kindly" if he would back comb it for volume, his response was "there is volume already". Still found some grey hair, so he did not do a very through job, nor did he cut my bangs.I found the other stylist there very friendly & accomodating with her client&very attentive too. Mines was the opposite. I wish I had her.I left a token tip but in hindsight, I was too nice.
