“Everybody collects something,” says Darryl, owner of Netherworld Collectibles, “and I‘ve always had a love for horror movies.” The action figures, movie posters, shirts and myriad assortment of horror movie merchandise that cover the walls of Darryl’s shop speak to his love for the genre, which he calls the most flexible and exciting type of film.

“As far as movies are concerned, horror is the most versatile genre there is,” he argues, “a horror movie can be anything: The paranormal, monsters, science fiction, you name it.” The eclectic nature of scary movies is reflected in Netherworld Collectibles’ wide array of products, which nonetheless share a distinct, curated aesthetic.

“If it’s not what I consider horror,” Darryl says, “I won’t stock it.”
