Fantastic family doctor.

Dr. Grootendorst will not give me pain relief because he thinks Ill get addicted. What? I am in my 70s never been addicted and all I wanted was 15 pills for a fall caused by another doctor at the hospital, that has not healed after 2 years. He is full of himself.

Extremely arrogan...

Extremely arrogant doctor and staff. I moved from my family gp who retired over to him and encountered very rude receptionist staff who asked if I was doctor shopping when I explained why I came back to their office. My surgeon booked me in for a referral and asked Dr. Grootendorst to phone a referral into them. His reception staff called me and rudely told me I must come in even though the surgeon said he just needs a telephone or fax referral. I go in to see Dr grootendorst who simply confirms what the surgeon knows. He agrees to write a referral letter and assures me it will be faxed immediately. A week later nothing! I call and the receptionist rudely tells me they have hundreds to get through and is that okay. I say no as it was supposed to me done immediately and she says " it's not urgent ". I'm in chronic pain so I'm not sure why she feels it's not urgent.
