Dog Gone Grooming Salon

Back in 1995, Tera Teng was working at a veterinarian’s office, but she dreamed of more. “I wanted to have a business I could do out of my home,” she recalls. She enrolled in pet grooming school and became a certified master groomer. She opened The Dog Gone Grooming Salon in a small shed attached to her house and hasn’t looked back since. “I don’t think I can work for anyone again," she says. "It’s been great.”

Tera loves being in Maple Ridge because it’s a city with a lot of dogs. “I plotted the dogs on a map so I could see where I should open my business. There are so many dogs here, and we’re always busy,” she explains. The Dog Gone Grooming Salon was an immediate hit.
