Meet the owner

Since 1989, mother and daughter team, May and Karen Choo have been running their flower shop from the Lonsdale Quay Market. They provide flowers for all sorts of customers: wedding parties, commuters heading through to the SeaBus, tourists visiting the area and North Vancouver residents.

Their location in Lonsdale Quay Market looks out over the harbour, welcoming the evening sun into the shop. In the evenings, warm light reflects through vases and illuminates the bouquets of colourful flowers.

“It's got a nice view. You feel good,” says May of the ocean-side flower shop that she’s owned and operated for over a quarter of a century. The Choos have gotten so tuned to the ebb and flow of the business, that they are able to predict how many people will stop by for flowers gauging by the weather and the day of the year.
