Atmosphere nice. Good service. Good choices of wine. Patrons Subdued. My meal was disappointing. The quality wasn't quite what I had expected. I felt it wasn't geared toward what we the customer wants. My lady friend wasn't touching much of it. Bigger portions charge more doesn't go over well with me. The only thing that was okay was that the meal was on special. I left feeling I wished we'd headed straight to her home. I won't be back.

The best spots in Surrey to raise a beer

The outside of Baron's looks like a giant red house instead of a pub, but inside it’s all fun, sports and beer. It’s the perfect place to catch a hockey game or the latest UFC fight. The upstairs room can also be rented for a private event or party. Either way, the beer is always flowing and the upstairs patio is perfect for catching another gorgeous sunset.

With such a stunning view from the patio, it’s no wonder that someone bought Baron Von Mackenstein’s old home as soon as it went on the market. Fortunately, the owners refurbished and renovated it to bring the historic landmark into the 21st century. They then opened it to the public in the form of a wonderful pub. With pocket-friendly drink and food specials on every day, it’s the perfect place to go when the weather is playing nice.
