This hotel has a wonderful location and due to the shape many of the rooms have commanding views of Coal Harbour, the North Shore Mountains and the Vancouver skyline along the water. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed and they are so quiet too. We have stayed here on more than one occasion even though we live in the city! The rates can be a little steep at times but keep your eyes peeled for specials on the Internet. Either way, you'll be glad you stayed at the Pan Pacific!

Got a healthy appetite and big bucks to spend on a decadent New Year’s Day brunch? Head on down to the waterfront Pan Pacific Vancouver and feast with friends and family on an elaborate all-you-can eat spread. Café Pacifica’s impressive New Year’s Day buffet ($90 per person) features colourful salads, imported cheeses, artisanal baked goods, a made-to-order omelette station, charcuterie platters, seafood towers, a carvery, hot buffet items, and a sushi chef action station. Make sure to leave room for dessert; you won’t want to miss the Callebaut chocolate fountain, delicate French pastries and crème brûlée torching station.
Swim in the heated outdoor saltwater pool or just marvel at the views of the harbour, mountains and Stanley Park from the deck of the eighth-floor terrace. Here’s a little-known secret: locals can enjoy a free day pass to the pool when you book a treatment at the hotel spa.
All-you-can-eat fine dining with a waterfront view – what’s not to love! Pan Pacific Vancouver is once again hosting its annual Father’s Day Brunch this year. The gourmet man-sized buffet features hot and cold stations stacked with internationally inspired cuisine: crab legs, sushi, dumplings, lamb sirloin, sesame seed salmon and a special live-action carving station serving up peppercorn-crusted Alberta beef. The indulgent spread comes with a pretty high price tag ($72 per person), but hey, your dad is totally worth it. Call ahead to book your seats.
