The service was great! I was not impressed w/ the food. It's average and over priced. Next time I would keep driving into Vancouver and enjoy a restaurant w/ better food and view.
My family and I have driven by this restaurant daily since it opened. The parking lot is full everytime we drive by and now we know why. The ambience is great and the food is even better. We had an antipasto platter for two (there were four of us) and the Caprese salad...the bocconcini were perfect. My daughters had the pasta with cream sauce, I had the rigatoni with sausage, eggplant in red sauce and my husband had the lamb. The food was fresh and well presented. Now the dessert...millefolgie with lemon and caramel drizzle. It was delicious. The service was great. Just enough attention to get what you need and to feel taken care of and enough quiet time to enjoy a family dinner. I would totally recommend this restaurant if you want a great Italian meal.
what can you say, our favorite restaurant !!!
everything was excellent! our seat was by the window and we had a cold front hit that evening. by the time we asked if there was another seat, the bar manager had turned the heat on and it warmed up so we were comfortable. the food was amazing as I expected. I had short ribs with risotto and my date had a chicken dish. so tasty and portions are generous which I appreciate after a long week working. we finished off with tiramisu and courvosier cognac. the staff were so friendly and service was at the level that everything seemed to happen effortlessly we noticed they have a pasta night for reasonable prices so we may visit to try that but, we will definitely be going for the full dining experience again. great place to kick off a night on the town or any event!
Fabulous service and food as always
Food was a bit slow but we relaxed and enjoyed the experience so we were happy regardless. Server was great. Food was perfect. Pasta was cooked perfectly el dente. We will be back!
Kids menu items could be larger portions for the price or provide alternate (regular) menu.
Nice place for any setting. Children were running around, but were not loud, so it did not bother our meal. Friendly staff.

Excellent service from beginning to end. Meal was excellent, maybe a little shy on the portions, but had an appetizer prior to the meal so all good. Desert was very good. Atmosphere was a little on the busy side with tables very close so conversations could be easily heard specially with loud talkers. Price wise decent. I give it two thumbs up and will definitely return.
Food was excellent. However when we made reservation through internet, we wanted to reserve 6:30 pm, the site only allowed us to reserve 6:15 or 6:45. We had to take 6:15 pm which was a little rush after work. When we were in the restaurant, there were empty tables up to 8:30 pm. Why forced us to rush? This is the reason I give and four stars for service.

We had a Christmas administrative staff appreciation dinner here. Personally, the portions were a little small for my liking, but otherwise our waiter was attentive when he was around, the music was good, and the food was quite tasty.
I have always had outstanding service at this establishment. The pasta was cooked to perfection.

Had a wonderful luncheon at Poor Italian with ten friends. Was amazed that all ten entrees came out hot and ready during a busy Holiday lunch. Food was fantastic. One of the best meals I've had at the PI and I think we had two servers and a bus person working our table. Very attentive. We all had a great time.
