Simply Sailing Inc

Simply Sailing is a Vancouver-based sailing school that offers courses suitable for a range of experience levels: from those who have never been out on a boat to advanced sailors who are keen to embark on an open ocean adventure. The approach of this Sail Canada School is to start with practical skills on local waters under the instruction of qualified, friendly teachers, and then build up and move on from there. Simply Sailing offers, basic, intermediate, advanced and offshore sailing lessons; as well as performance clinics and excursions around Vancouver Island, up the Howe Sound and between Vancouver and Maui.

Christof Marti, the founder and owner, has lived and sailed all over the world. He started the business in 2009 with a little boat he would take out on the weekends. In 2012, while on parental leave from his former career as a hydro-power engineer, Christof decided to make sailing his full-time vocation. He points to the people who return to the program as a testament to the calibre of instruction. Many of the students who sign up for the school’s longer excursions did their basic and intermediate training with Simply Sailing.
