The shop was excellent with a very cool vintage feel. All of the staff were friendly and outgoing and a pleasure to be around. Except for the the French fellow that cut my hair was very rude and made me feel uncomfortable. He did not like me for some reason? He even made some rude and embarrassing comments! He rushed my hair cut. Treated me like garbage. I was not expecting such poor service. I also over hear him call me a freak just as I walked out of the store.

As an advertising company, they give you the best haircut than any other advertising companies. Don't go, especially if you are not WHITE. Could find better hair cut in Victoria, and much cheaper. They just basically don't fully understand what you want then cut your hair super fast. Maybe he just wants to have a smoke outside... Nothing disappointed me than this, I've seen a lot their amazing post on Instagram, and I was so excited to have a hair cut at the Victory. ONLY DISAPPOINTING. REGR

All smoke and mirrors! These people try too hard to look like cool Hipsters and don't follow through with skills. Worst hair cut and beard trim that I have ever received in 30 years.

Best barber shop in Victoria (maybe the world!)

Amazing experience. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming at the door. Old school vibe and very talented barbers. Easy to book appointments and they even cater to walk-ins. Highly recommend A+++++.

    AWFUL

Worst haircut of my life. My regular hairdresser was horrified by these people's work. Do not go if you want to look attractive!

Poor service, bad attitude and over priced

Victory Barber is what happens when a company tries to copy a trend in this case it was the Hipster trend. This Barber shop did not only go of the hipster look but work ethic also. I gave this place three tries and every time the barber was late because he was getting coffee or just running a personal errand. The hair cut was very mediocre and the service was inconsistent. On one of the visits I decided to give a shave a try and then he accidentally cut my face he pretended to ignore this; not even a sorry sir and I believe he even found it a little amusing. NEVER GO HERE

    I was in Victoria...

I was in Victoria ecently and long overdue for a haircut. I used my phone to find a barber close by. These guys seemed close by so i checked out their website. Place looked really cool and out if the ordinary. And they were open later than others too. Then I read the nasty review. I was offended by one comment so I didnt give the reviewer much credit. And im glad i didn't. I titally enjoyed the whole experience! My Barber stylist was Crystal (aptly named because she IS a gem). The ambiance is very cool and the vibe completely welcoming. I walked away with the best cut I can remember and Crystal actually took the time to give me a few pointers. Even my wife commented on the fact I had some style! Thank you Crystal.

    Never trust a bald barber.

The first thing you notice when you walk into this "barber shop" is a focus on typewriters, old bikes, taxidermy, and gratuitous, unimaginative self-branding. Everywhere. The store feels like that dumb footballer from highschool. You know, that one who can only manage to communicate by raising his fist and stupidly shouting the name of the school's team. "Victory! Duh..." The uninspired, over-the-top design in-store should have had me questioning the establishment's authenticity right away. The bald barbers should have had me running. Never trust a man to cut your hair when he declines to keep any hair himself. A "buzzed on the sides, long on top" was the first style suggestion I was given, which was not surprising. Unimaginative, uber trendy, and easy, just like the boring decor and the bald pates at Victory Barber & Brand. Every other male in the shop was getting exactly that cut. I declined, and suggested some less ironic alternatives. My barber went to work. Perhaps he was nervous that he couldnt cut my hair in the same unique style everyone else was getting. Perhaps he was struggling to imagine new ways to articulate the store's name. Whatever the case, over 45 min cut, he said not a word in conversation to me. Awkward, much? Maybe the silence was part of the try-hard hipster aesthetic? I walked out of there less $40 in my pocket, and with a cut I could have had from any Supercuts. All in all, I felt like I was in an episode of Portlandia. Get your hair cut here if you want people to see you getting your hair cut someplace trendy, NOT if you actually want a good haircut. Never trust a bald barber.
