I have a permanent disability, and I came to this restaurant to celebrate my grandma’s 80th birthday. Our waitress was named Sarah and she provided our table with excellent service. She took all our orders properly, and had the food served so quick, considering we were a larger group. My 3 children were quite loud, and yet our server was extremely patient and tolerant of my noisy kids. Most waitresses would never be so tolerant. Dessert was very good also. We had a very good time. This was our first time at Swiss Chalet. The restaurant was quite busy for 4PM Sunday, but not packed. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The waitress seemed to be in a hurry. Looks like they were short staffed. She messed up our drinks and the cook never brought us the buns we were supposed to get with our meal. My tea cup had something dried up on it (looked like brown sugar), which I had to scrape off with my fingers :)))) I didn't bother asking to get a new one. The food was very tasty, although the dessert (sundae) was far too sweet . Overall a nice little lower-middle class restaurant with good atmosphere. The service could be better though. Read more

I brought my 81 year old Uncle and my younger beautiful Aunt to this Swiss Chalet for lunch. The server was very bright, cheerful and friendly. The meal was served within minutes and she got everything right. I happened to mention that we were going to use the coupon(s) that my Aunt had received in the mail, but we couldn't find that day. I brought in a tour group of 33 people and the manager Jodi and her staff were waiting for us when we arrived. They provided great service and the food was very good. The group all voted they would go back again! Thank you so much! Our travel date was on 9/24/11 and arrived around 6:15pm for dinner. I work in customer service, so I understand that things don't always go as planned. It is how an establishment deals with their mistakes that really shows how good they are , in my humble opinion. We go to Swiss Chalet all the time, the food is always hot and delicious and up to the Swiss Chalet Standard, the service is usually pretty good, quick for sure and the restaurant smells good and is clean. We often order take out from this location, and we have had a few problems, orders not being filled correctly, no gravy for the poutine, little things like that. One time we ordered and they called back 30 minutes later to tell us there was a snow storm and the delivery person went home! Needless to say I complained. I got a personal response from the Manager appologizing for our bad experience and comping us for two 1/4 chicken dinners! WOW, I thought that was just great. I get that mistakes are made, but I have never had anyone take responsibility and compensate me so quickly and politely! Since then we have ordered a few times and we haven't had anymore problems.
