I don't know what people are complaining about, Igor is a nice and smart man. I don't see what is wrong with the fee to get you're vacuum or appliance fixed, that is so nobody can use them I was explained. People would understand the cost of repair because the mechanics need to open it up and realize what is wrong with it. After that a selected few would not go through the repair because of financial issues or it is to expensive. So they would have took time to look at a vacuum, or an appliance, that was not going to be repaired in the first place. When that time could be contributed in a vacuum or an appliance that someone would despritely need a specific date. They offer that to you and always know what you're vacuum is worth because in a little shop you can get deals. Also customer support of the best quality products for vacuums or small appliances they aim for quality and European brands this what Igor explained to me. Whatever they charge for clean up is not worth it to some people but it is if you understand they are trying to keep you're vacuum to last longer then burn out the motor, then you might as well or get a new vacuum. They have long term warrentys on some of the products just ask Igor !
The worst customer service I have ever had. If you want to be talked down to, go see Igor. BTW, they charge just to look at your vacuum. It started as a $20 plug replacement, then all of a sudden it's a $110 fix, without getting authorization.
My appliance broke and I called then company (Hamilton Beach) who told me to go to Morrells to get fast service. Its right by my work so I decided to go on my break. When I got there, a man told me right away it would take 6-8 weeks. He didnt even look at my appliance. I asked him to take a look at it, maybe it could be fixed. At that point basically told me to leave, saying "go back to where you bought it from". He also told me the appliance company sent me on a "wild goose chase" . I asked to call the company and he said do whatever you want. He also asked me to drop the attitude, which was extremely rude and disrespectful.
I am extremely frustrated with this experience. I was happy to support a small shop like this, instead of going back to Walmart. Hamilton beach told me that Morrells would be my best and fastest option. Instead I was met with disrespect and rudeness.
Do not go to Morrells, the man who works there is extremely rude.
Do not buy from Hamilton Beach, my appliance broke only after 4 days and they sent me to this service centre which obviously does not care to service Hamilton beach customers.
I couldn't find a repair center to fix my broken coffee maker. After looking in the Yellow pages I found Morrells and took my broken coffee maker to them to get it fixed. I was amazed that it was ready the next day. It only cost me $19.99 as the machine was plugged and just needed to be descaled. Morrells could have charged me alot more but they didn't and I am very impressed with their service.
I had called to drop off my espresso machine and was told that before I could find out how much they would charge to fix it, they would charge me $20 for an inspection. I was fine with that, but wanted to make sure I was called before they charged me anymore. Instead of calling me and letting me know the problem or if I wanted to go ahead and fix it, they opened it up and cleaned it and then wanted to charge me another $60.
When I went to pick it up, I asked why they didn't call and the guy immediately got defensive. I said that they should have called and then he said he was sorry but asked what he should do now. "Do you want me to break your machine and then you don't have to pay"? I couldn't believe that he would even suggest something like that! Break my machine?!
I told him that was definitely NOT what I wanted him to do (especially since the problem was cleaning and not a breakdown, seriously?!) and that I would pay.
When asked if he was the owner, he said that he was and wanted to know if I had a problem with that. He told me that he has lots of business and didn't need mine.
So he gave me $10 off the original (was first $60) and said that there was no hard feelings. That his employee was new and that it was probably his responsibility to call. Said we got off on the wrong foot and if I had any problems I should call him personally.
Really? And then be jumped on? Aren't customers supposed to be treated well?
I would recommend that you NOT GO TO MORELL'S.
