Rude, rude and rude!!! This company charges double what the other companies cost 160.00 an hour for a minimum of 4 hours with 3 men. I just finished inquiring about services when I was abruptly hung up on! Anyway, much better service and prices with the other companies listed here....
Five Star Moving handled my aging Greek parents' move from Paradise NL to Saint John NB. They were friendly, patient and accommodating: they explained the process well and were up front about all potential costs and timelines. Pick up and delivery was clean and efficient, and all furniture was set up at the new location. We highly recommend this company for any move.
Fantastic move back home from Alberta - great service and nothing damaged. Will recommend to all my friends who are moving.
Excellent move to Mississauga, Ontario. Prompt, friendly service and not one thing damaged. Would highly recommend using this company and contributing to local business. Will definitely be calling them again when I move back to Newfoundland in 2 years. Roger
We've used Five Star Moving 3 times, & each was a pleasant & smooth experience. While some companies didn't call us back, our concerns were eased once we spoke to Joanne who explained the process. The crew used floor runners & inventoried our goods before wrapping. They were so friendly with a great sense of humor. In AB, the same driver delivered, & his AB crew were equally as professional & friendly. Everything arrived exactly as it left NL. Thanks Joanne, Alf & Tommy for a stressfree move.

Hi Cindy- Thank you for your kind remarks. It was a pleasure dealing with you and your husband; and we appreciate your repeat business. Good luck in your new home and please fell free to contact us again should you need moving services in the future. Jo Ann & Alf
I called this company to book a move. I asked for clarification on their policy that requires a deposition and full payment before delivery of the goods, and Jo Ann became extremely defensive and rude. When providing customer service, you need to talk to people like humans. Be civilized; darling with people and their pesky questions is hard, I know, but that's the point of your business.
I called to enquire about a local move (The possibility of having someone help me unload a moving truck). The woman who answered the phone laughed for about 10 seconds informed me that my enquiry was "completely rétarded" and they they "didn't do business with idiots" before hanging up on me. Avoid this "business". If they treat they're cutomers this way, imagine how they must treat your personal items.
I used a referral website to find a mover, as I didn't know where to start. Five Star Moving was the first to respond (within minutes!) I gradually received other offers from various companies, but those companies were very vague and pushy in their sales pitch. Jo Ann at Five Star was very up-front and clear with terms, pricing and overall service. I had to move across Canada in a very short time, and Five Star worked with me to find an ideal move date. I actually had to leave before my household goods could be picked up, but Five Star helped me to arrange collection from a storage unit after I had already hit the road! My goods made the cross-country trip very quickly, and everything arrived in great condition. As I stated above, I hate moving, and there's a lot of stress involved, but I found that dealing with Five Star Moving was so easy. I hope I don't have to move for a while, but when the time comes, I will be calling Jo Ann again. I'm proud to keep my business close to home, with a local company from Conception Bay South.
