I called this company to book a move. I asked for clarification on their policy that requires a deposition and full payment before delivery of the goods, and Jo Ann became extremely defensive and rude. When providing customer service, you need to talk to people like humans. Be civilized; darling with people and their pesky questions is hard, I know, but that's the point of your business.
I called to enquire about a local move (The possibility of having someone help me unload a moving truck). The woman who answered the phone laughed for about 10 seconds informed me that my enquiry was "completely rétarded" and they they "didn't do business with idiots" before hanging up on me. Avoid this "business". If they treat they're cutomers this way, imagine how they must treat your personal items.
I used a referral website to find a mover, as I didn't know where to start. Five Star Moving was the first to respond (within minutes!) I gradually received other offers from various companies, but those companies were very vague and pushy in their sales pitch. Jo Ann at Five Star was very up-front and clear with terms, pricing and overall service. I had to move across Canada in a very short time, and Five Star worked with me to find an ideal move date. I actually had to leave before my household goods could be picked up, but Five Star helped me to arrange collection from a storage unit after I had already hit the road! My goods made the cross-country trip very quickly, and everything arrived in great condition. As I stated above, I hate moving, and there's a lot of stress involved, but I found that dealing with Five Star Moving was so easy. I hope I don't have to move for a while, but when the time comes, I will be calling Jo Ann again. I'm proud to keep my business close to home, with a local company from Conception Bay South.
