Poor food quality, messy bar area, server was an adult lady but very preoccupied. Unhappy with the service. The one on mapleveiw drive is better
Like youd think an italian restaurant could pull of making pasta...not here. Also attrocious service, unlimited soup and bread salad whatever but u need to tackle the waiter to get it, s soooo loud in there also. Anyways just brutal
I thought the food was great and lots of it. The waitress was very busy, but also very attentive. I would love to go back tonight, a night out of the kitchen is always attractive, lol
I used to enjoy this restaurant, but lately the service just seems to be getting worse. When we first arrived at the door, no one came to greet us and we were left standing there for a while. The manager was at the bar and looked at us a few times but never came over. Finally a server carrying a tray came by to see if we had been looked after. Our food came out fairly fast, but the server was unattentive. After the meals came out he never checked back to see if we were ok and we were left without cutlery for the longest time. I finally had to stand up and take cutlery from another table. When I told the server that I borrowed cutlery from the other table, he seemed annoyed. I didn't feel welcomed and I'm not sure if I'll give the restaurant another chance.
Horrible service. Wait time excruciating only to be followed by incompetence and attitude. Food was average. Had decided to try this place in person, as their delivery service is horrible. One time we waited and hour and 30 minutes and then called to find out the delay only to be told they lost the order and would require another hour to deliver, we passed. Second time, second chance, I called only to be told "we really are too busy for this right now..and..click!" I chalked it up to a bad employee having a bad night, so we went in person. Big mistake! Employees ignored us, we waited, and then we were treated like we were invisible. I had to get up myself and go to the bar and take the cheese grater and pepper and grab missing forks myself, only to be met with "rolling eyes" by the bartender. To the person who suggested watching "waiting", thats the most immature and ridiculous response I have read on this site. Cheers
From what I can understand Wednesday night is staff night so don't expect much. The service is horrible because the server's are trying to finish so fast. We were at a tbale in the bar, but the bartender was so busy serving staff we were forgotten. The staff gets loud and drunk. Aren't there laws on overserving? The salad portions are getting smaller and smaller and the costs are getting higher. The food was good but smaller portions than before. The service is bad and it seems to get worse and worse with time. Won't be back until I hear they fixed things.
My family and I went to ESM for my parent's 43'rd wedding anniversary dinner. We wanted good affordable food..Well,we were not disappointed at all.Everything was delicious. No one went away hungry or disappointed. The atmosphere was pleasent for a sat evening....the serever was excellent and attended to our every need.I can't remember his name but he did an outstanding job. Thank you all VERY MUCH!!It was awsome.
Been to several ESM's, and they seem to all be the same. Food is average at best, service is mediocre, and atmosphere is non-existent. Pasta was simple noodles and sauce, but was overcooked and bland. Definitely done with this chain.
i think east side marios is the best restaurant in barrie. i most of the staff work hard.. or at least tehy look like they are.. and the food is always fresh and delish. i think its the cleanest restaurant in barrie.
Unreal from the moment we walked in. We stood at the door for about 10 minutes and were contenplating leaving. No one was there to greet us, no host, no server, not even the bartender who saw us and made eye contact with us on more then one occasion. You would think that they would come over and seat us somewhere but that totally wasnt the case. Once we got the to table ,the server smelled like smoke when she greeted us. Her name was Kaylin ,and she took a long time to get our drinks and then forgot to ring in the appetizers. Once the food came out it was cold, and partially dried out from sitting under the heat lamps. We spoke to a manager named Melissa and she was wearing some revealing and unprofessional clothing. We couldn't beleive that the restaurant would let her wear something like this. After she took the food off the bill, we ordered some dessert and that sat at the "Pizza/Salad" counter top for 10 minutes cause our server was no where to be found. Overall just an unreal experience of poor service, food, and professionalism. This is the second time in the last 2 months that we have had a bad experience at this restaurant. Hopefully someone from Prime restaurants can get their stuff together and fix the problem and East Side's on Bayfield. Their reputation is taking a big hit, and since there is another going up in the south end of Barrie, I think alot of their cliental will be choosing that one instead. Thanks
Bad servers they seem to have silly girls working here who are not mature. food was not so good and in fact was not the food we ordered. when we asked for the food that we originally wanted the waitress acted like we were being outragious. not a nice time. the manager could have dome somthing but I am sure the waitres didn't inforem him/her of our unhappyness. This place is not one to eat at.
Chicken was not ready for dinner time so we had pizza. the waitress was angry that the chicken was not done and actually was cussing. I didn't mind the chicken not being done but she didn't need to use that language in front of my wife and I. I was visiting from Germany and had meals at many places in Canada over my stay but I will not eat here if I return.
the food is not good but the service is much much worse. avoid this place for it is not a real restaurant. lasagna is pure slime but pizza is ok.
I love the food, the unlimited soup, salad, and bread. I have never been to a restaurant with so many good entrees. I eat out atleast three times per week. Take it from a binge eater...try it!!
This place is always packed. But they do a good job of getting you in. The service was not so good, but they were really busy. They give you unlimited bread and salad with your meal. The good is amazing too, plus a pretty nice environment.
Almost always good food. Fairly consistent. Service sways sometimes - depends on your server. Good value and overall good flavour. Good times.
The food was supurb. Plenty to eat. The waitress was very good and efficient. I was sure glad that we got there early. A busy place. But yes we will be back.
Food is boring but will due if you are starving. Service is not too bad.
Wanted to order a kid sized portion for our son but we were told that everything is preproportioned and they can't do anything about it...basically, when it comes to their pasta dishes, all they do is heat the food, they don't actually cook it. All you can eat bread and salad really meant all that they were willing to bring you....one salad, no bread because "it would be 2 minutes before it's ready," Bread never did come, so I guess NONE is all we could eat. Food is average at best, limp pasta, cold, salty meatballs, and lettuce that has seen better days. Salad from a bag a a can of Chef Boy Ardee would be cheaper.
