I liked Pho Hung. The staff is friendly and helpful, it was nice when he suggested I not get the fish soup as it maybe more on the fishy side. I got the veggie spring rolls which were very nice a little on the greasy side but tasted good after soaking in napkins for the extra oil. I have been at this restaurant twice. The first time was just ok. However the second visit left my guest and myself wanting more. So a group of us are going next week. My guest said that she felt comfortable not rushed and the servers were very pleasant. Food was very good and at the proper temperature. I've been to this restaurant twice now and both times the food has been great. But I was there with my husband's family last night for my father-in-law's birthday. My mother-in-law had brought a birthday cake to the restaurant and had asked them to bring it out as a surprise when it was time for dessert. Everything was going great until the server informed my mother-in-law (just before they were about to bring his birthday cake out) that we would be charged $10 just for them to bring it out! We said forget it, and we took the cake home and had it there! We would have ordered coffees and cafe au laits to go with the cake, so they certainly would have made at least another $20 off of that, but it's their loss I guess. So to summarize, the food was excellent as usual, but we were very disappointed that they wouldn't accommodate our birthday cake with out a steep charge - it left a bad taste in our mouth. Read more
