It was not the worst buffet I have been to but definitely was not the best. The restaurant was empty and this does worry me at a buffet as how long has the food been sitting there? Good choice of curries in my opinion and i really enjoyed the soft lamb and the dahl. TURN YOUR ICE CREAM FREEZER DOWN you are wasting your ice cream as it is all freezer burnt . Shame
I had been to this restaurant several years earlier and thought it was pretty good for an Indian buffet. I was there in May (2012) for lunch on a Saturday and was put off, not by the food but by the kitchen staff. The food was fine--I have no complaint about it. Shockingly, my friend and I could hear someone in the kitchen SPITTING--repeatedly. I won't be back.
This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend who is an Indian chef. After four years, I have experienced some ups and downs with this restaurant however, do go back as they have some excellent dishes. Their Indian a la carte menu is quite extensive. Yes, they have a buffet however, I would recommend ordering off the menu and trying their samosas...best I have ever had and I worked at a hotel that flew in an authentic five star indian chef back in the day. I personally do not understand some of the other negative reviews as I have passed the owner in the grocery store and he always goes out of his way to say hello and chat with me. Yes, he likes to talk on the phone while he has customers but sometimes, he is also taking orders. I am not defending his service, I get it, they have gotten used to doing it and should correct it, but I guess as a regular, it isn't a concern for me. I have dined there for lunch and dinner and again, can't understand the negative table service review. I have personally never experienced that there. The buffet is adequate and has about 14-15 dishes to choose from. This includes lamb, chicken tikki, butter chicken, saag, matar paneer (amazing!) bartha (also amazing) indian noodles, pakorah, etc. There is a small salad bar and ice cream for dessert. I typically order the garlic naan with vegetable lunch takeout and this costs me no more than ten bucks, with leftovers for the next day. I do agree that they need to lower the takeout price as it is kind of ridiculous that the buffet is the same price. If you get to know the owners and become a regular, I am sure they will give you a discount ;)
Just a solid indian food buffet. I went with a friend for lunch and was surprised as to how little "filler" there was. Everything at the buffet table was fresh and made with Kwality. :) Naan bread was top notch. The deserts were great.
Fresh Indian buffet, great staff, quiet casual place Not a real indian fan but I have never had better and have had many that were worse Would definitely recommend
This place is a bit of a gem. It is in a plaza with a Food Basics and some other stores. I had driven by many times without even noticing it. I went for the dinner buffet. The food was terrific. The butter chicken was especially good. Very spicy, but not too spicy. The service was attentive. It is a bit cramped and dark, but the food is worth any discomfort.
Have been there 4-5 times in the last 2.5 months on a Sunday to see and dance to live entertainment - service, atmosphere and food have always been excellent. Staff is very friendly and always accomodating. Portions are generous and we roll out the door stuffed ! If you want a quiet place to go late on a Sunday afternoon/early evening, this is not the place for you. If you want some excellent live rock and roll with some bluesy overtones and have feet that love to dance or toe-tap, then I'd recommend this place. The place has been redone so sightlines to the stage are great no matter where you're sitting.
I used to love this place. I would go at least once a month. Brought my kids as well and they found things they liked as well. But it has changed in the last year or 2. quality is really dropped. I have ordered takeout a few times now and for some reason it costs more fore takeout then sit down. Yet the food comes right off the buffet like the rest and you get less then when yo eat there. And whoever the older server is (probably the owner) is more interested in talking on the phone then serving me all 3 times I went for pickup. I have waited over 5 minutes before while he chats on the phone. Once ok every time. Not good
At $8.99 per person for lunch, I do not expect 5 Star food or service. The food is ok, the service, well, it is a buffet, so no big deal. Again, for the price, they should have fewer items and better items. But, their business model evidently works, since they are still in business! Do not go there for a great meal. Eat, pay $10.16 incl. taxes, do not give a tip, and leave!! Choose wisely your buffet items.
As it is buffet you get to explore and try a variety of dishes which is great, also the price is very reasonable. I have been going for years and have taken numerous friends who have also enjoyed it. The only downfall is the quality (no pun intended) has gotten worse over the last year (i.e. using chicken legs in the butter chicken and not breast meat and fatty lamb pieces) which is why i have been hesitant to return. The gulab jaman are to die for if they are fresh and warm.
my girlfriend and i are indian food enthusiasts..we have tried over 20 other indian buffets and restaurants in toronto, oakville, mississauga, etc..we ALWAYS come back to kwality..sometimes we enjoy the buffet and other times we place an order for pickup. the butter chicken and lamb vindaloo are exceptional. prices are very reasonable, food is always hot, and the restaurant is kept clean. hands down this is the best indian food we have ever had the pleasure of eating!!
I have been eating at this restaurant for a few years now. Really enjoy the buffet, great value. Also get take-out quite often. Everyone must try the lamb curry. It is to die for. The only negative about this place is that they seem to have quite a few chefs, and therefore the food is not consistent. Be prepared to order the same thing a second time and get either a much spicier or blander version than your first try. The staff here is excellent as well. Always serve with a smile.
I lived in Toronto for 8 years, and have eaten a lot of Indian food. Kwality though beats anything Toronto has to offer. It's almost 2 AM and I'm salivating thinking about their food.
Good food - enough to make me a regular. Wish it was spicier, though. Looking forward to trying different things on the menu.
Good food, clean, pleasant service. The food could be spicier. I look forward to trying more things on their menu. Good prices for lunch menu offerings. I could see myself becoming a regular at this place.
We have been going to this place for 2 years now and love it! Even my 12 year old daughter can't wait to go. Great service, clean and very reasonable. Would not hesitate to refer anyone here.
The place is very nice and clean. That's always important. And the food although not mind blowing is very good and consistent. If I had any complaint is that the buffet is average size. They could expand with some more items, however in the end it's not really a complaint at all since we've been returning customers for the past 3 years.
nice ambiance, clean, staff was attentive, lamb was delicious, very tender. would visit again.
Food was great, restaurant is very clean & beautiful but the service was so-so. The staff were really pleasant but it took forever to have your water topped up and get another drink. They rarely came by to pick up the dirty plates. The buffet selection was small but the quality of food was fantastic. Great dessert selection! One of the best Tandoori Chicken! Did not like the Gulab Jaman hot, tastes much better cold.
I love this place, the food is great and so is the service!!! mmmmm I love the warm honey balls!! Were going back tonight!!!
