HORRIBLE! The cab zig zagged until we got to our destination which cost us $32 and when i called dispatch they hung up on me! Never again will i use diamonds.
I have lived in Thunder Bay my entire life until about two years ago when I moved to
London for my post-secondary education. Diamond taxi has always been my preferred mode of transportation and I have never had a bad experience until this last visit home. While I was staying with my friend on Francis street I had called a cab at about 11:10 pm to go towards Port Arthur and at about 11:50 there was no sign of a driver so I called. The dispatcher informed me that a driver had came and called and left. I asked if he could send a next car
and he said no and then hung up on me. I called back to make sure he had the right number because I had no missed calls and after some time he finally picked up and confirmed he did in fact have the right number so I told him the driver had not called or indicated in any other way that he had arrived. I also asked why he had hung up on me. The man, William (he said), began to tell me that he didn't hang up and to call a different company. I found this to be quite the slap in the face considering I had insisted we call Diamond Lacey over Roach's, especially considering Roach's came within ten minutes of calling after the incident. Normally I would recommend calling Diamond to any one asking but after tonight I question if I will ever use their services again.
