The owner came by and treated not only the birthday boy but the hole table to a glass of champagne. Now thats class, can't wait for the next party we defenetly will be comming back.

We visit Frisco once a year. It was always a high point. We ate there on Saturday Aug 4, 2012.I asked for no ice in my drink> Ice was put in my drink. My daughter ordered milk which they were out of at 5:30 on a Saturday night. I ordered the fish and chips which I have had in the past. This time it was the size of fish in a high liner box of frozen fish. It was about a quarter of the size from the previous time and tasted frozen not fresh. The prime rib my husband ordered came without Yorkshire pudding as they were out. they did not offer anything else to replace the fact they were out of the Yorkshire pudding. the bill came to $120.26. We will never go back

great time in a small town

We just returned home from Wednesday night "date night" special and it was a special dinner. The food was very good, the wine delicious and the service friendly and efficient. We go to Friscos many times throughout the year and always enjoy ourselves. We recommend you try it out. Susan

horrible service and mediocre food

My husband and I eat out a lot. We enjoy all sorts of cuisine and can appreciate various atmospheres. We are fun loving and respect that servers have a hard job. What we cannot tolerate is awful service, inconsistency, and poor excuses. Our “experience” at Frisco’s lasted 2 hours and we did not order an appetizer or have enough patience to stay for desert. When we arrived there were only a few tables occupied. As the evening progressed the restaurant filled up. My husband and I were seated and left for quite some time before a drink order was taken. I ordered a glass of the “House” white wine which in fact is very clean and crisp. I waited about 15 minutes to receive my drink as our waitress sat other people while we waited. My husband got a Pepsi which was flat. While we were waiting to have our order taken, two other pairs of diners were seated, and their orders were taken. I was a bit miffed about his but let it go. Our order had been taken and we were HUNGRY. My Caesar salad came out and it was very good, but small even for a starter salad. It was served with a fresh wedge of lemon which is a nice touch. I was not offered fresh pepper even though the table beside me was. My husband got the seafood chowder, which he was thrilled with and found to be hearty and plentiful. We did not receive a bread basket, even though I observed started salads at one table being served with the bread directly on the plate and other tables receiving their bread in a basket. We had bread plates, I kept waiting but it never came and I did not ask because simple requests seemed to fry our server. Our meal arrived approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes after we had first been seated. By this time the two other pairs of diners that I have referred to above, and a family with kids had been served their meals and we were still waiting. When my prime rib arrived, I was less than impressed with their pathetic plating. My prime rib, although tender, was cold. The Yorkshire pudding was soggy, the au jus was bland and the “seasonal veggies” consisted of soggy broccoli, thin sliced zucchini, and red onion. The mashed potatoes were the saving grace and were yummy and loaded with butter. I asked the waitress for some horseradish and she returned with a plastic coleslaw cup full of very dried out mild horseradish. I’ve seen better come out of a road side diner. My husband received his plate and his scallops were the same size as the ones in the chowder and less plentiful than in the soup. He stated that the flavor was good, the texture was ok, but care had not been taken to sear each scallop, some had a yummy crust, others did not. He received the same mashed potatoes and soggy veggies I did. Before we had finished eating, we watched the other tables that had come in after us leave. When we were finished we sat for approximately 15 minutes. My husband stacked the dishes and I tried to make eye contact with our waitress. At one point my husband stated, “I’m just going to go and tell her we want to leave.” I asked him to remain patient. About another 15 minutes passed as our waitress walked back and forth and I could sense that she was avoiding our table in order to service a party of about 12 next to us. Finally I blurted out, “can we get our bill?” She gave it to us with zero interest. At the debit machine, I asked another server if it was an unusually busy night. She stated that it was not and looked a bit baffled. I then asked are you short staffed, and she and another served plus the bar staff f stated that they were. The server then asked us what was wrong and who our server was. We told her and she said, oh well, its really hard to figure out who to serve first when many tables come in near the same time. I was stunned buy this answer thinking the solution is simple. Serve them in order of appearance??? Rocket science? I don’t think so. By this time our server joined us at the debit ma

At first after these reveiws we didn't know what to think but we gave it a try. It was the best steak and Prime rib we ever had and i got a chance to speak with the owner George he was great and the staf just as good. The place was packed and people waiting at the door and for good reason. I can only say that this is the place to be and its great to have in the valley

Restaurant in decline

My wife and I used to visit this restaurant frequently and we loved it. Food was great, service exceptional, and reasonable prices. We have not been able to visit since March 2009. We visited last night and were so disappointed. The food was awful and some of it was inedible. I had pork ribs and my wife had the Mediterranean chicken. My ribs were tough and tasteless, broccoli was overcooked and my fries were cold, almost raw, and greasy. My wife’s chicken was wrapped in phyllo pastry. Pastry was burnt black and there was, at most, two ounces of chicken inside (for $18). Told the waitress of our complaints and the manager came to our table. She made some excuses about the chef and some other staff being off sick and asked if she could have our meals re-cooked. We weren’t interested in waiting around so we said no thanks. She gave us a complimentary dessert of an apple pie on a skillet with a scoop of ice cream on top. Even this was mediocre – Chudleighs apple blossom with premium ice cream is better. As much as we enjoyed eating here in the past we don’t think we will be going back again. The food is too expensive, and there’s really no excuse for burning a meal or undercooking French fries.

A very nice evening

I hardly ever cook roast beef and I can't remember the last time I ordered it in a restaurant. I'm roast beef picky, and Frisco's was a treat! Meltingly tender, tasty, well-seasoned and served with traditional yorkshire pudding, gravy and garlic mashed potatoes. What a meal! My only food criticism would be about the broccoli: I like my vegetables medium-rare (tender-crisp) but mine was raw, barely warmed through. Still, better than overcooked. Had a lovely, well-made cappuccino to finish. Excellent. Wait, there was another problem: draft beer out of circulation the evening I was there. What a disappointment. Still, I'll definitely return. It will be difficult not to order the roast beef again!

This was, for the longest time, my "favourite...

This was, for the longest time, my "favourite restaurant in Pembroke" - even though it's about a half-hour drive away from Pembroke. Simply because it is SO worth the drive, the people who run it are extremely hospitable, believe in their product, and do their best to provide the best... in food, service, and ambience. Totally worth the visit!!
