Food disgusting

I ordered from them recently and the food was awful. Had no taste. My beef and broccoli had no taste and was floating in water/grease. Not to mention I waited a long time for the food to come and it was cold.

New is not always better.

New owners. Too bad, for all of us. The previous owners made the best food ever. These new owners forgot to put the flavour in the food. It is bland, I mean hospital bland. They have improved the menu since taking over, but still have a long way to equal the original owners.

New owners, awful food. Must come from bags, and reheated. Used to have the best chow mein ever, now it's the worst, like eating plastic. What a disappointment!!!!

If you are weary about the way the place looks...

If you are weary about the way the place looks, don't be. The food is fabulous. They could invest a little in decor, but just because they don't know how to decorate, does not mean they don't know how to cook. The Hung Fatt Chow Mein is something that is always ordered by us. Their egg rolls are currently the best in the city.

Absolutely addictive eggrolls! This place is...

Absolutely addictive eggrolls! This place is amazing, and the service is very friendly and helpful (when you get the right counter-person). I've never tried anything there that I haven't loved. As for the chicken soo guy, you are able to get different sauces .. sweet and sour, pineapple, and of course the traditional soo guy gravy. :) I'd recommend this place to anyone!

Excellent food. The egg rolls are great, as is the chicken soo guy. The lady who runs this place will not let you have any substitutions, so be prepared to have the sause that comes with the dish. Cash only, take out only, no delivery, but still my favourite Chinese place in Ottawa

This is my favourite chinese restaurant. The egg rolls are amazing. The one thing that I personally did not like was the spare ribs (but only because they have bones). If they want to up their business they should offer delivery.
