I have been ordering from the South Sea, for about 6 years now, I have never had any problems with anything, the food is AWSOME, delivery is always fast, the food has always been hot, I have no complaints, just thumbs up 👍👍
Definitely better than average chinese food, but the prices are slightly higher than average too (maybe 10-15%). Good, consistent dining experience every time I frequent this establishment.
Eat in or Take out - Always friendly and fast service.
Sauteed Broccoli is very taste, a little salty but that is how I like it.
The fried rice is amazing.
Serving sizes always leaves enough for left overs.
Son & i went for a quick bite, he had the Kitchen soup which was Massive, full of chicken, shrimp, mushrooms & noodles, i was surprised he finished it. I had the wonton which came with a side of the dry noodles which i love. this place is the best.
I have been to so many restuarants but south sea is the best. i went there last time with my college friends. The food was so fresh and delicious.we had three items and enjoyed a lot. I like their services. They have good and responsible management. They provide proper sittings with fresh environment. The prices are resonable too and a normal person can enjoy the food for 10 to 15 bucks. I like this because of its best quality services and i would like to go there again and again.
Last Sunday, my friends and me visited South Sea, and tasted sea food first time. We love it and I want to be there again and again. There are some points that I want to discuss with all of you. First of all, food is very fresh, delicious and well cooked. The taste and aroma was very good. Second thing, South Sea staff was very friendly and their services were very quick. There is buffet system too, and you can eat whatever you want until you can’t be full. Price range was reasonable. It was between $12.99 for lunch and $21.99 for dinner per person. At the end, I would like to say that it was amazing experience and it was special evening that we enjoyed it while having superb meal, and for sure, we are making plan to visit there again.
1st time caller , placing order for delivery, phone disconnects half way through order , so I try and call back thinking it was a mistake , 20 rings no answer . No call back .hmmm. Thought I try a new chinese food place but they wont pick up phone , wierd or what ?
I order takeout from this restaurant once per week. I always order either combination plate number 3 or 4, and they are prepared with consistenty high quality. It is unlikely that you will find better American Chinese food anywhere in Hamilton. The food is great, it is priced well, and I can get two dinners (microwave the leftovers the next day) for around $10.00. Plate number 3 is under $9.00 and I can still get two meals out of it. I have only dined once in the restaurant. The service was great. I do agree with others' comments about the decor and some other elements of the environment, but the prices and food quality more than outweigh the negative aspects of this restaurant.
Delivery order....everything was great. The Szechuan Chicken wasn't as spicy as we would like but still good. Perfect wings, perfect rice, excellent chow mein.....we'll order again.
The food here is the best Cinease food I have EVER tasted.. The family that runs ir are super nice and do an amazing job at keeping the place clean and the food tasing great.
I was a little iffy at going in at first, but this just goes to prove - Dont judge a book by it's cover!!!

This is one of my favourite Chinese food restaurants in Hamilton. I love the old school Chinese restaurant decor and the oriental music. The food is excellent, which can be matched with wine when asked by the sommelier in the family. The only two things I don't like is the smell in the restaurant - like a backed up sewer and the crowding at lunch. But because it's so busy means that the place is popular!

Excellent service and food. I wonder why one reviewer was upset about having only 1 sachet of soya sauce as there is a whole bottle of soya sauce on each table. Anyways, I always come with my fiance for their huge kitchen soup and never been disappointed. I would recommend this soup to anyone because it's loaded with noodles, wontons, meat and veggies. For about $7 you can't go wrong. Service is always cheerful and the staff are eager to please. At lunch it's a bit more fast paced as they do get very busy. I like their Chicken delight combo #5, which I usually get for take-out. They are have a nice detailed website that I use for ordering out when I can't find my menu at home.
For a first time customer we will be back for sure, as the food and service was excellent throughout. My guests and I were completely amazed by the food presentation. The sizzling beef was super tender and came on a sizzling plate on its own. Everything was fresh and tasty and there were plenty of leftovers! Decor is traditional chinese but the food presentation once again is very modern and trendy. Even their Mandarin Orange ice cream for desert was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. We will be back for sure. The washrooms were clean and they even use the special soaps that smell like green tea scent!
