Never seen a place be run with such unprofessional management. My boyfriend and I ordered 3 meals sometime last week for us to have dinner after a long day of work. Not only were 2 of the 3 meals given to us incorrect, but when we called them we were put on hold for half an hour before they offered to do something about the mistake they made. Horrible service. Take out was disaster. Food sat ready for an hour while I'm stuck in a line up outside trying to pick it up. Then I get home to find items missing that I paid for. Tried calling all evening and they don't answer their phone. Finally get through the next day and they say they don't give credit for previous days. After arguing they finally offer store credit but honestly I never want to go their again and deal with their horrible service and takeout. Wish I could give 0

Would give -5 if ...

Would give -5 if I could. After the 10th fly my significant other killed during the course of our meal I had had enough. There were actual live bugs in my food, on the table, flying around my head, crawling all over myself and everything around me - I had to stop eating. Food is Great, Service is Surly

I am a semi-regular at this location, and also go to the other locations in Waterloo and Cambridge now and then. The service is pretty snarly, but a bit more attentive than at the other locations. The food is always good. I love their Malaysian Seafood Laksa Noodle Soup, and their pho, as well as their pork balls. Just don't go during the busy dinner hours.

Worst Customer Service EVER

I ordered a vegetarian dish for takeout which took over half an hour to make. I got home to find my veggie meal packed with seafood that smelled like feet. When I called they said they would make it again. I would have to pick it up but they would credit my card for the mistake. The manager said he did it but he didn't. He was also very smug and not at all apologetic about the mistake. I used to eat here all the time but I will NEVER go back. The in restaurant service is equally as bad. I always thought the food was good enough to overlook the horrible service but this is the last straw.

Awesome Place!

We have been to this place a few times and everytime we have come, we have always been pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. The cheer wontons are amazing, I would highly recommend it. The servers are courteous and attentive, they listented to our needs and attended to them as requested. The pad thai is wonderful, it is a large dish which two people can easily share. The atmosphere is great, I love the decor, it looks so chic and modern. I will definitely be back!

This is the nicer of the Benh Thanh's in the KW area. So if you like their food, but is taking someone "out" for an occasion, this place definately has a nicer atmosphere. Food was excellent, just as the other locations. For the most part I find all 3 locations fairly consistent with the quality of food, and maintain this between all 3 locations. I work in Mississauga, and can't find a place that has all the great dishes (in one place) like Benh Thanh! DOes not dissapoint!

Service is very slow here. Our waitress disappeared several times over the course of the meal. She got the order wrong, forgot our rice and noodles, and didn't refill our water glasses. Then it took ten minutes to get our bill. While the service is terrible, the food is reasonable value for the money. Portion size is generous. So if you're willing to wait through the terrible service, or if you don't go a peak times, it's a decent place to eat. The decor is well done, although every single table seems to have a short leg. At peak times, it is very noisy.

Our neighbors have been raving about this place...

Our neighbors have been raving about this place for a little while and so my husband and I went there for the first time last Friday and it was amazing! This place has by far the best atmosphere in the KW area and very tasty Thai food. Our server was amazing and extremely helpful (since we did not know what to order and the menu had such a wide selection). Hands down, this place is the best Asian restaurant we’ve been to in the Tri-cities.

They have their days

When the food arrived, the server was in such a rush he forgot the sauce for our rice dishes. We had tried to flag someone down but to no avail and began nibbling at the dry rice and meat. The atmosphere seemed very busy even though a lot of the tables were empty. Big selection to choose from, although nothing translated into Vietnamese for some native speakers. Not a big deal. Most of the time I saw 2 waiters serving all the tables and about 4 waitresses hanging around the bar.

So - So

Atmosphere was good, place is totally re-done. However, was not happy with the food presentation or quality. I had the chicken pad. I had to call the server over 2 times to get the right sauces, being that they don't leave them on the table. Not sure if it was really chicken. But I did find 3 huge pieces of skin all greasy within the Pad. So maybe it was. I was disappointed with the portions, having at the 2 locations in London for lunch. I found there the 'dinner' size which I ordered was larger. Anyway, I wasn't over whelmed like i was in London. I don't know if I would go back.

We'll be coming back

My wife and I just tried this place a few weeks ago. Surprisingly reasonable prices given how nice the atmosphere is. Service was strong--when I asked the waitress what she'd recommend, she was quite happy to describe several dishes. I had a curry dish that tasted a lot like a different curry dish that I used to get when I lived in Kingston, a flavour I've been looking for since I left! The only downside was the deserts, which were prefab and tasteless.

EXCELLENT atmosphere, great menu selection (there is so much to choose from). I had a full meal with side, soup, spring rolls, and dessert for only $20. It is a lounge on the weekends open til 2 am with a nice ambience to the place for a perfect night with a special someone. I definitely will go there again. The service could be a little better - it was a young girl who looked like she was a little nervous but I do recommend this place for excellent thai!
