The Korean beef ribs(kalbi) were delicious, and the soups were hearty and warm. I especially liked the rice cake soup with dumplings(duk gook with mandoo). My husband loved the pork bone soup(gamjeh tang), which was very flavourful and spicy. Luckily they mentioned that we could order mild, med or hot. My brother in-law loved his kimchi soup(kimchi ji-geh), and found it to be full of kimchi and think cut pork.
The side dishes that accompanied the meal(kimchi, radish kimchi, marinated bean sprouts and spinach) were a nice addition. Apparently, this is how Korean's normally eat their dinners with sides of kimchi etc. shared amongst the table.
Along with the hot barley tea, dinner was fantastic. I never hesitate to bring our visiting friends and more adventurous foodies here.
