Was there 10 years ago, food was... ok, barely. Service was terrible. Went again just yesterday. Food was... ok, nothing special. Service was not that good. We were early (6pm) and we were told the booths were not available. We were seated next to the door. Someone came in 10 minutes later, no reservations, they were seated at the booth!! What gives! Others that arrived after us were served before us. They came to check on how we liked our food when we were done. The place was not busy. Waiters were not busy. They were very friendly with those who seemed to be regulars. I had a burger, the ketchup and mustard containers were crusty and disgusting. They replaced them, no apologies. Not a single word. Large portions. Very salty food. Nearly everyone there was over 60. Never going again.
I have been here a few times and love their food. It tastes fresh and very flavourful. I find the service for the most part is good. I have tried a few different items from their menu and enjoy the greek souvlaki and their fries are great!
The family and I always enjoy the hospitality and food at Johnny Bistro. The food and service is always amazing! Johnny Bistro has also done a lot of catering for events my family has held. For my daughter's sweet 16 we had reservations for 30 people and the bistro worked with us to make perfect seating reservations and food option all for a reasonable price! As mentioned before, we've been many times and definitly plan to go back!

Very disappointing food. Greek salad was tasteless, soggy and mushy. Potatoes were hard and dry with no sauce. Chicken very mediocre. Waitress very intrusive and rude. Was looking forward to night out with a bunch of ladies but was dissappointed by the food and service. Will not return!

Discovered this fabulous restaurant this past year and have been several times. Excellent food, great atmosphere. Haven't had a bad meal yet. BBQ Ribs, lamb entrees are great as well....! Very friendly staff that always makes you feel welcome. Keep up the good work Johnny Bistro...
Returned for a quick dinner after several years, had always good food and service; first time back after at least 2 years. The menu remains failrly simular to past visits, average price specials, nothing too outtrageous. Very generous protions, Village Salad had too many sawgy tomatoes, Souvlaki was OK , side salad served with house dressing was excellent. Garlic loaf was oversized and cheese bland.
My Husband and I were faithful patrons of Johnnys. Lately we noticed the place is going down hill. The service has become very slow, not enough wait staff. The last 2x we were there, they ran out of the menu item although it was before 6 : 00pm. Also, when I order a glass of wine, I don't expect it to come half full.
The price is resonable, the food is great, the staff is friendly. Always enjoy our evening at Johnny's

the food is excelent. The veal was tender (huge amount!), and the pasta was delicious. Good portions and pleasant surroundings.
we've been here a few times now since discovering it! it's just great. my prime rib dinner was huge and only $20. Where can you get that anywhere else??? this is the busiest place in old markham and I can see why. good value and good food. a winning combo. A good place to bring a date. the only problem is that it get so busy at times, that we had to sit at the bar or in front of the cooks in the kitchen! hard to get a booth and forget about getting in without a reservation on weekends. i wish they would expand. otherwise, excellent.
