Handpicking the perfect greeting card is a timeless tradition, even in an increasingly digital world. Paper Decorum Fine Stationery and Gifts, located in the heart of Port Credit, helps meet that desire with its one-of-a-kind stationery that caters to the discerning shopper in search of something a little different.
The store is airy, relaxed and soaked in natural light thanks to the large storefront window. Every wall, shelf, table and fixture is pristine white, just as owner Lesley-Ann Marcano envisioned when she first decided she wanted to leave her career in engineering and construction to open a store. “I wanted the store to be cute, fun and not intimidating,” she explains. “All along I planned it to be all white – from the displays to the fixtures – so that the products were the emphasis, not the decor.”
Cards are arranged along the periphery of the store with several display tables throughout. A summer-themed table offers a bright punch of colour and whimsical items like tote bags, candles, gift wrap and art prints.
Lesley-Ann's love for stationery grew as she continued to dream of opening a store that reflected her passion. The details of that vision came together as she waited patiently for the ideal time to make her bold career change. A year-long search for a location finally led her here, to a place she recognized immediately as being the perfect venue for her store.
