the worst experience ever, the food is so and so, but the services are horrible..they rarely collected the plates from our table; we had to constantly ask for water...horrible, and at the end we have been charged one extra person and an imposed gratuity of 15% that they did not deserve; never going again

Very Good Lunch Buffet - Good value

I wen there on a weekday for Lunch Buffet. In all 5 of us went . The Lunch Buffet was $ 12 per person . The senior citizens in our group got a 10 % off senior's discount without us even asking for it ..they gave it to us on their own automatically , which I thought was a nice gesture . The appetizer's & desert were amazing ..there was lot to chose from & everything was fresh . The main dishes were a bit limited but it was more about quality than quantity , so I didn't mind . The souvlaki was being made fresh so it was nice & juicy . 2 people in our group were vegeterian but they still had a lot to chose from . For $ 12 , the weekday lunch buffet is definitely worth it ..the place was quite busy when I went there ..it looked like lot of people from nearby offices had come in groups for their compamy lunch etc . There were 2 hostesses who were very fast & courteous ..and were clearing our plates & tables quickly even though it was fairly busy . The only downside I saw was that there was no lamb dish . Our group stuffed ourselves with all the goodies :) ..just from the top of my head some of the dishes that I ate ( there were more than the ones mentioned below ) ..but I couldn't try all of them ..the stuff I ate is below :) ..can't believe I sampled all th stuff below :) Dolmadakia , Feta Cheese , Olives , Spanakopita , Hummus , Tzatziki , Seafood salad , Calamari , Spicy rice , meat balls , beef stew , chicken in a sauce , pork souvlaki , chicken souvlaki , mediterranean pizza ( was OK not that great ) , Moussaka , grilled mushrooms , greek burgers ( almost tasted like flat round kebabs ) , Baklava , Almond cake , Walnut cake . They also had 4 types of Ice Creams ..I ate 2 of them :) I was eating for about 1 1/2 hr

What a Big Fat Value!

Just got back to the hotel room after having dinner at The Big Fat Greek Buffet with colleagues. We chose it because it was walking distance from our hotel on Dixie. We went about 8 pm on a Monday night, and the restaurant was absolutely empty, which was a little disconcerting based on some of the reviews I've seen here, but we decided to give it a shot anyway. What a great decision! The food was absolutely delicious, from the salad bar, to all of the main courses to dessert. The salad bar ingredients were fresh, the lettuce crisp, and I couldn't believe some of the ingredients. Fresh, large chunks of feta cheese, calamari that was fantastic, and not rubbery at all. The dolmades were definitely home made, and were worth a second helping! The moussaka and pastichio were delicious, as were the lemon potatoes and the eggplant shoes. The pork souvlaki was awesome as well. The biggest problem I had was that everything I tried was so good that I wanted to have seconds of everything. The baklava and almond cookies were delicious as well. They must have been homemade. I'm not from Mississauga, but will be mentioning this place to colleagues who work here as a lunch option. I'll also be making a point of bringing my wife back the next time we're through.

Fabulous Greek buffet - we have spent many thousands of dollars in restaurants over the years and this is one of the best values and taste for an inexpensive price. Food is mostly grilled - not like Mandarin where most things are deep fried and all taste the same. This is as close to good home cooking as you can get. Service was outstanding.

Charming

What a nice family run place. We dropped in on a whim and aren't we glad we did. Our waitress was darling. The owner was greeting people and was very pleasant. The food was made by Mama in the kitchen, and it tasted like it was. The eggplant shoes were to die for. I think I ate half the tray by myself. The calamari was fried fresh infront of us. The rice pudding was to die for!!!!!! What a great meal at such a reasonable price.

An alternative buffet worth checking out. I...

An alternative buffet worth checking out. I was trying to find a buffet other than Chinese or Indian and this suited me just fine. I tend to like to try "a bit of everything", which is what makes buffets appealing to me. I found BFG (Wedding^D)Buffet here on Restaurantica and decided to check it out. The restaurant is squeezed in between Yuk Yuk's and Swiss Chalet, but it goes back a long way and the area around the buffet is very open and nicely decorated. Being as it was Wednesday and not too busy, all the customers were seated in the bar area. It has a nice open feeling with a large row of windows along one side. It has separate doors as well, so could be used for a private function. There was only one server, but she was pleasant and all the dirty plates were swept away during the trips to the buffet. The food for the most part was fresh and hot. Other than the stuffed peppers looking a little dried out, the other 20 or so items on the hot buffet were appealing. There was also a grill area serving souvlaki, beefteki and a few other standards. The salad bar ingredients were limited, but fresh and tasty, including a wonderful tzatziki. The hummus was good, but not as strong as the average Greek food fan would like. Dessert always seems to be a favourite amongst people who like Greek food and BFGB offers a good choice. Besides some standard cakes and ice cream, there are some traditional such as spice cookies, havla, and a very good baklava. I would recommend this to anyone who likes Greek food, or buffet fans looking for something different. There is enogh choice that anyone in the party who doesn't like Greek food could still find enough to eat. Vegetarians could also get by, but might want to check the ingredients list carefully. As of writing, adult buffet price is $19.95 for dinner Monday through Sunday. Lunch prices are lower, and there is a $4 "sharing" option for the little ones.

A suprisingly good concept held to a very good standard. Not particularly fond of buffets but this intrigued me. Friendly wait staff, but you do serve yourself remember. The salad bar was clean and well presented, crisp and fresh where it should be and diverse. Overall the food was good quality and not compromised considering the variety. It's not high end food, but made to a good standard. Overall a pleasant experience, nothing to drive 100 miles for, but I would certainly take guests there and recommend the restaurant for what it is, good value on good comfort style food.

This place is Amazing! Tucked away in a semi industrial area - strip mall location, this restaurant is a GEM. Facility - Nothing much to look at on the outside, however a large multi-level dining room on the inside. Nicely decorated with Mediterranean decor and ambiance; the restaurant is very clean. Greek music is heard over the sound system. Food - This place is an all buffet restaurant theme. The menu (mostly) Greek with an occasional Canadian dish thrown in (not sure why – adds nothing). The food is very authentic and tasty, with many premium menu offerings (for a lunch-time buffet). Desserts offer traditional Greek pastries, cakes and cookies, as well as Canadian ice cream and cakes. Service - The hostess and server were very friendly and attentive. Smiles, "please", "thank you" and "your welcome" abounded (something very rare in many restaurants today). It was very apparent the staff understands the meaning of hospitality. Even with the minor food diversions into Canadian cuisine (they need to resist the urge to down grade to this level), however a VERY GOOD experience overall and EXCELLENT VALUE. Worth the drive to Mississauga.
