Turn For The Worse

Its a shame about this pub. When my wife and I first moved to Mount Albert about 3 years ago we were regular visiters to the pub going at least 3 times a month for dinner. However in the past 6 months we have gone 6 times and everytime we have gone the service is lousy. We keep tyring to give them a second, third and so on chances but its the same everytime. We actually went in last night to get take out and we sat a table for 10 minutes waiting for the waitress to come and take our order, and she noticed us and just continued to stand at the bar and chat with the bartender, WE got up and left and decided we would take our money else where. Their loss..... I do not recommend spending your time or money here anymore.

Best Pub in a long time

We love to travel to different Pubs in Ontario and The Prince Albert was in Pub magazine twice so we finally made the trip up. My wife had a burger, which we were concerned about because it was $5 every thursday. And i had the Liver and Onion special. The burger is amazing. A half pound burger and side for $5 every thurs and like $9 normally. My Liver and Onions was $9.99 and it was seriously one of the best ive had. My wife and i also really enjoy beer and they have 18 on tap. Great for such a small town. Staff were very friendly. We have heard good things about there breakfast too. So we will be in this weekend to try it. I think its only on weekends. We recomend this great pub to anyone.

Now This is a Real Pub.

Anytime I'm in the area this pub warrants a visit for the superior food, bright and friendly servers, a great selection of beers, and its well-seasoned pub atmosphere. The Daily Specials are a great value and hard to pass up. Everything seems to be freshly made on site. Their $18 weekend Prime Rib Dinner is a particular bargain.

he who knows doesnt know

Anybody who has doubted the new owner needs to take a second look. Ive been a regular for a long time and the changes are great. The fish and chips is no small order, i ordered it and recieved a huge plate at a great price. When I asked what fish it was I was told that it is now Haddock, which is great because the old owner used Hake and i never used to order it because of that. The burgers that I order every Thursday, when they are $5 for a burger and fries is out of this world, and at a great value. The way the nachos are done now are also something I have say is noteworthy. Mexican Black beans with homemade guccamole sourcream, cheese and pico de gayo. waaay better than before. Also I must mention that I have noticed that all the soups and majority of the menu items are now homemade. Another step in the right direction for the new owner. Like I said, Ive been frequenting many pubs in york region and by far The Prince Albert Pub has shown the best improvment by a new owner then we have seen in a long long time. I bring my family in twice a week for a very enjoyable experience. Good Luck to Ken the New owner. Excellent Job. Great changes.

Great atmosphere and food

Quaint old house turned into a pub. The atmosphere is that of your favourite corner pub. The staff are friendly and attentive. The menu is diverse and tasty. And just for something different - every other Tuesday is their Trivia night.
