Purchaed 2 pairs of progressive glasses for my spouse and myself in spring of 2011. Initially was impressed with both product and service. After about a week of wear I noticed a defficiency in one of my lenses. Upon contacting Phlug I was instructed to come back in to be refitted. Upon doing so I was told that a new lense would have to created .The optician mentioned they would send in an identical frame to the lense manufacturer so I could keep using my new glasses. After approximately 1.5 months I contacted Phlug to get an update on the status of the new order and was told they were having some difficulty with the new lense but were confident the job could be done. Over the course of the summer I contacted Phlug 6+ times plus one physical visit to the store and was essentilly given the same "difficulty with lab" excuse . Finally, in October 2011, I contacted the lense manufacturer and the customer rep told me they would contact Phlug and get the issue resolved. Turns out Phlug never sent the lab the new sizing information or the new frames and if that wasn't enough Phlug stopped returning the lab's phone messages, nice! At this point the lab's rep stepped in and within 1 week I had new lenses in my glasses and the outcome has been great. In short the service from the lab was fantastic. In closing, I would not recommend Phlug Optical for your eyewear needs, extremely poor service.
