Good fresh food. I ordered Tom Yum with noodles. Lunch menu is well priced. Friendly staff. Clean. Quick service. Nice environment.
I've been to Pho Thi Fusion twice now and both have been simply great. The food, vietnamese inspired, is wonderful. The decore is classy and inviting. The wait staff are courteous and professional.
My boyfriend and I make this our date night locale as well. We try to come as often as we can, and it is by far our favourite thai restaurant in Ottawa. Recently we always order the same thing and it never disappoints. The tempura is great, very light and crispy. Yummy with the fish sauce. The spring rolls are always delicioussss. We split the two aps and a pad thai, and leave perfectly full and always satisfied. The pad thai is a great mix of sweet and spicy, with great sauce and the portion is big. Brought my mom recently after talking about it for a long time and she loved this place. Service is always great. Some girls are better then others but we've never had a bad experience. Also ordered takeout for the first time not long ago. A mistake was made once (food was still awesome) and we were even credited for the next time, which was only a couple days later lol!! Terrific atmosphere especially for an asian style restaurant as most have limited decor (we've found) and especially in Barrhaven. Highly recommended for people who are new to Thai food, as there is a large variety of flavours and spice levels available and the chef is very accomodating. Try it out!!!
"The Wife" & I always seem to use this place for “date night” (you know - those rare "no kids" nights). We've been several times and usually come away satiated & satisfied. The presentation & quantity of the food are always great, the quality & flavours are varied & enjoyable, and the service is usually fantastic. Our only disappointments have been the fried rice (surprisingly boring given the wonderful flavours of everything else we've had) and our server last time was not up to the service standard we've come to expect from this place. Given her lack of skills, manners & etiquette, I thought she should have had more help from the more experienced people working there or a more limited role until such time as she learned the appropriate techniques & skills. That being said, I'm going to consider the service issue an isolated incident. Spice levels vary in complexity and heat. Upon request, the "heat" level can usually be raised or lowered. When I recommend this place (and I often do) I usually say " it's a 4-star dining experience at a 3-star price". We love this place. We've noticed that they seem to have a thriving take out as well but we always dine in. Maybe someday. Although I haven't been to either, it's the same owner for the Pho Thai Soup place across from Merivale Mall & a new location in Kanata, which, according to the Executive Chef, is a little more chic. If you want to read a little story about our last visit... We met the Executive Chef this most recent visit. The Wife has a shellfish allergy and we have never had a problem but we always mention it first just to be safe. This last time we were there, we asked if we could alter some of the dishes that we wanted to try but were afraid to because of the allergy. The waitress (very new) checked with a chef who was nearby (we later learned he was the Executive Chef). He came over personally to discuss and agreed to our requests to alter 3 of the 4 courses. After personally making the sushi rolls and after the main had been served, he dropped by to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. No surprise, it was! Later, he even shared a chef "how-to" with us. What a wonderful "Table-side" manner!
Went to the Pho Thi Fusion in Barrhaven with wife and friends recently, ordered the pad thai for myself, my wife and friends had sushi... very pleasantly surprised by such an up scale and classy establishment in Barrhaven... the chief chef in the kitchen (I believe his name is Mr. Ho) is a culinary master as is the sushi chef out front, waitresses all very courteous... can't wait to go back, well worth the price... 5 stars!!!
