Food is always good and some dishes are definitely superior. Portions are generous and service is prompt. Love the white table clothes in the evening.
Been going here for many years. Lots of regulars support this restaurant. A family run business, with Gus & Karen as your hosts., & all 3 of their kids working there too, along with other support staff.. Never had a bad meal, whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner. Dinner specials are always changing and a good choice for the money. Recommend reservations Friday & Saturday nights even after their expansion of doubling their seating capacity, but it's worth the wait without reservations.
My friends and I had lunch here on Thursday. I believe it's owned by Greeks but they have an excellent full range menu. I was very satisfied after my Philly-cream-cheese-steak sandwich (mmmmm) and hadn't ordered dessert. But I tasted the "Tartufo" from a friends' dish. It is chocolate ice cream with raspberry gelato, a bit of raspberry sauce and a dollop of whipped cream. I HAD to have my own! HEAVENLY!
My Fiancé and I have been to this location twice. Both times were equally fantastic. We had the same waiter both times, and he was very courteous. I felt like he should have been working in a 5 star restaurant. He is quick to rhyme off the daily special. I’m not sure what his name is, but he is great. As far as the food goes, it hasn’t disappointed us. The first time we went here we both had the Massey Burger with fries and gravy. The portion was huge! It was so filling. I ate every last bite. There was no room for dessert. The second time we went, my Fiancé and I both had the Special of the day which was a ceaser salad to start, a half rack of ribs with mashed potatoes and carrots, and for dessert we both had warm rice pudding (14.99 per person for the entire meal). It was delicious. This restaurant is very quaint, but they make the most out of the small location. This place is very popular with the locals, and there is no question as to why. Great service, great food and great prices.
My boyfriend and I had a fabulous and romantic dinner here and everything was pleasant here. I had a chocolate milk to drink, Atlantic salmon with mashed potatoes and vegetables for the main course, and Coconut cream pie for dessert. I really enjoyed my meal and everything seemed just right. My boyfriend also enjoyed his meal too, he had a root beer to drink, a clubhouse sandwich toasted on brown and salad to go with it, and blueberry pie for dessert. He also really liked his meal too. I liked the music that was played there too, I enjoyed listening to Jersey Boys music there since I saw them live and Michael Buble. I enjoyed the whole atmosphere and I will come back again for sure.
the dishes were very clean, i love eating off thos dishes,i had to even tip the dish washer!
The prime rib was over cooked and cover with way to much gravy that tasted like it was from a can. The mashed potatoes were crunking and bland. The calamari with tzatziki was the one good thing about our meal. Over all did not live up to hype that we heard.
make reservations, excellent tasty food with great prices, the server went out of her way to serve us, the new make over of the restaurant is warm/relaxing and friendly atmosphere. will deffinitly return again and again with these reasonable prices as well as everything else.
We were very disappointed. The server was not very friendly and the food was not the best.
My pancakes were light and fluffy the first time I went ,March 22 sevice fabulous as always. Next time I went, March 29 pancakes were the worst I ever had. They were warm, very heavy and had to cut with a knife. Only ate part of one. Waitress didn't inquire either and I should have said something. Will try again, maybe I had a different cook that day.
Best breakfast in Clarington. Small, quaint restaurant, friendly staff, Gus not too bad either, worth the wait(10-15 min) for a table on a Sat. or Sun. morning. Lots of locals, that still say good morning to each other and nobody sitting around reading a paper, drinking coffee taking up a table. Tables turn quickly
Very worthwhile to visit and try thr different lunch specials
We had the specialty of the house...lamb chops prepared to perfection by chef Gus as the main course. This was preceded by a scrumpious appetizer made with a Greek flair. yum yum
Excellent mix of Greek and Canadian dishes. (Their salmon special was delicious!) Casual family dining. Friendly staff and excellent service. VERY generous portions.
Really busy - popular with the locals. Service was fast and friendly, always smiling. Food was perfect, just the way I would have done it at home. Great presentation. The place was clean and the coffee was just right!
