Lousiest Service In all of Toronto
Had dinner at Grass Mountain a few nights ago. It was the worst ever service I have experienced. Our Peking Duck came out almost an hour after we ordered it even when we ordered it ahead because of the 30 minute preparation time. We also ordered tofu with mushroom and veggies and a bowl of rice. In 10 minutes they served us a duck but took it back after one minute because it was supposed to be served to another table. We waited and waited. Another party next to our table arrived and got their peking duck around 5 minutes after they ordered. I guess that was our duck. We complained and at first the order taker did not apologize. Explained that it was a mix up. When the duck arrived it was good. The tofu which was faster to prepare came out only after we were almost done eating our duck. Our bowl of rice never came. Whenever we asked for some other items like tea, paper napkins, we had to remind them at least once. Getting the attention of the servers was a monumental task because they seemed to busy cleaning up and not paying attention to customers at all. It seems that there is no coordination or system at all in this restaurant. Come paying time, they charged us the bowl of rice and we had to have them reverse the charge. Not going back there considering the prices they charge are high and service is bad.
