    Huge, well lit, clean

Typical Ikea store, awesome covered parking lot. Huge warehouse, items rarely out of stock.

There are two Ikea locations in Toronto, both of which are huge warehouses full of ideas for decorating kids’ rooms. Once you’ve all polished off a plate of meatballs, point your young ones to the kids’ department. The Swedish retailer stages its goods on the floor in model bedrooms, giving kids a chance to climb on, through and over the furniture. There are also tons of cool posters, stickers and other home decor just for youngsters.

Yes, this sprawling home furnishings warehouse really does have everything. Adorable tiny cacti, succulents and Aloe Vera plants are the perfect petite plant for a small space. If you’re looking for something larger, try a mid-sized ficus or a towering tropisk. Plant stands, garden accessories and self-watering pots are also available to help out forgetful plant-owners. If you’re really nervous that you’ll neglect your greenery, opt for an artificial potted plant — they look surprisingly realistic and require absolutely no maintenance.
