I bought my car into Canadian Tire for new battery. I was told it needed battery but also an alternator. Seems they did not have one in shop and I would need to wait a day for the part to arrive. I told them this was not possible, battery was charging fine. My cost would have been close to $1000 instead of $150. Told them to put old battery back in. Talked to tech and his exact words were « I need to pay my bills and feed my family ». Took car to dealer who replaced battery, no alternator needed
Went to customer service desk to price match an expensive iitem i bought 2 weeks ago, lady said if i dont have my receipt i cant get it, WHEN IT IS CLEARLY INDICATED ON THE FRONT OF THE SERVICE DESK FOR ANYONE TO SEE THAT THEY WILL LOOK IT UP IF YOU DONT HAVE YOUR RECEIPT. I bought the item 2 weeks ago, knew the exact date, the amount. She was rude and brushed me off, said they dont do that anymore. I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH CANADIAN TIRE ORLEANS.
Took my car in for leaking brake line
Told I needed new front brakes (whole system) - contaminated by the fluid and 4 new calipers.

Terrible customer service! I have tried to contact a person in the service department for 5 hours to request that my winter tires be brought out of storage, which is not in the store, so they can be put on the summer tires stored. The receptionist would not take this message, and no one has called me back. Humbug!!!
I was on hold for 5 min on the phone just to get disconnected! I then called back and was forwarded to parts and waited more than 10 min . I then hung up . Not impressed
I was told to come in at 5pm for a wheel alignment only to be turned away as soon as I got there because the alignment tech was already finished his days work. Total waste of time, never shopping here again.

I spent 4hrs at this location today while they mounted and installed winter tire, "fixed" my alignment and an oil change. The oil change was done correctly, but now my car shakes uncontrollably at hwy speeds and it still pulls left. I can't wait to spend my time at the shop again tomorrow for them to correct this. Take my advice.... STAY AWAY!!!!
No auto shop is perfect, Canadian Tire is no different. That said, not every shop will own up to that. Any time I’ve had a problem at CT, they’ve made sure to make it right again and there is definite value in that! It feels good to know you'll be looked after.
