Part1 Motor City is going backwards in their business. After moving into a larger building it seems they have since lost some of their best artists! They even promoted the receptionist to become an “artist”. I recently had a tattoo done by Justin and regret it every day. My friend cautioned me to not get Justin since he was new, but I thought Motor City would be there to help him learn. I asked myself how bad could a professional tattoo business screw up? Day is incredible. I’ve searched for years to find ”my” artist. Somebody I can trust to draw anything and I know I will love it. Somebody that makes me feel like she’s just as excited as I am for the tattoo.
Honestly, if Day moved to Kentucky, I would still find a way to get tattooed by her. Every time. She is so easy to talk to, every single piece she does is vibrant and she is SO KIND. The entire shop compliments each other and makes you feel a part of the team.
I was very nervous about getting hip dermals put in but getting them done at motor city was quick and easy, and far less painful than I ever imagined. The best part is that I've had them for less than 2 weeks and they're COMPLETELY healed. I couldn't be happier and I will be going back for seconds which I never thought I'd do. This place is amazing

This place is fantastic! great artist, friendly and by far the most professional shop ive ever dealt with. Ive been getting ink for years and have never seen a shop with more class than this one. Great experience from start to finish
Some of these reviews sound shady to me?? I have been going there for years and never had any problems. Talented artists and very friendly staff and as a woman that is very important to me! I do know they take deposits for touch-ups completely refundable at sitting but so do most better studios. Also if you can walk into one of the other shops and have no wait then there must be a reason they are not busy? I would rather have to book an appointment and get quality work! This seems very cut throat, take bad reviews with a grain of salt.
My girlfriends and myself travel every summer. We have started a tradition of getting referrals and picking a new place each year for a tatt. This year it was Motor City In Oshawa Ontario. Mine was Ben and hers was Dan. We love our new art and would refer this place to anyone. DO NOT BE FOOLED!! this company has poor customer service with sneeky tactics above all else. After paying for 3 tatoos I returned to have them touched up~a so called free service. What a joke!! first I was told it was too early, next time I was told I had to make an appointment and leave a deposit!! Really cause you took me off the street with no appointment ALL THREE TIMES!! And a $40 deposit?? I don't have to leave a deposit to make an appt to see my doctor and yet you guys think your time is more vauluable than a doctor?? Because you went to school longer?? The main thing was the free touch up service for me and its been nothing but a joke. DO NOT GO HERE. There are better places, with better service than these jokers. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! This company is nothing but~ Below Standard with Terrible Customer Service. Its a shame they can't get it together to represent the shop they advertise for... Lastly the problem was they forgot to dot the i from my sisters name... 3 times I returned and not once could they help me. Not worth it. GO ANYWHERE ELSE, you'll be happier
I brought in a picture of what i wanted and made an appointment. A week later I arrived on time and was greeted with the wrong photo. They were very annoyed when I wouldnt change my mind to what they wanted. They found the photo I brought and made a stencil an inch smaller than I wanted. I trusted the artist's reason for the change. He was wrong. During the two hour sitting I was teased about being overweight in a "joking" way. Most importantly, when the oringinal tattoo was finished the "artist", without asking, went and put streeks of coulour under the image in a bright orange that had nothing to do with my photo. Super Mad. Thanks for ruining my birthday Motor City. Your skill is great if you would just listen to what your customers want.

I have worked hard to build a team who have to have customer service skills to work at motor city as well as a great artist. I want every customer to have a good experience from point A to B even if it is a small or large tattoo .
