When I built my house I decided to purchase all of my granite and tiles from Emerald Tile and Marble. I did so not only because of the selection and excellent staff but also because, in the end, their price was comparable to those quoted me by the significantly less helpful, competitors that I also approached. My wife and I are thrilled with the service, the installation and the finished result. The staff was extremely helpful and gave us excellent advice on which colours and styles would fit into our home décor even though we provided them with only paint samples and vague descriptions of our furniture and home layout. The delivery and installation was fast and efficient and they called back a number of times to make sure we were happy with everything. When I finished my basement I decided to call them again to provide me with the countertop for my bar. They remembered me and asked about how happy I was with my existing products. The countertop they recommended fits perfectly with the vintage bar I built. I will certainly recommend them to anyone who is looking for great service and great products, and should I build again I will not hesitate to contact them for all that I should require.
I was referred to Emerald tile and marble by a friend. So I went to the Sheffield location. The service was amazing. The sales person that served me took their time and explained everything. From that point on everything was great. I highly recommend Emerald tile. Since then we went back and purchased our tile and hardwood flooring for our home.
Emerald Tile installed new counters, including an under-mount sink, in our home before Christmas 2011. On Christmas Eve, less than a month after install, the sink gave way. When we contacted Emerald Tile they initially denied responsibility, saying it was probably the plumber's fault for putting pressure on the sink. After some effort they sent a team out to repair the sink. In repairing the sink they supported the granite with excessive pressure and put a crack into the granite. We did not notice the crack until the next day when the sun shined on it. Again Emerald Tile denied it was their fault and refused to help. After some effort they eventually agreed to "repair" the crack. We would have liked the slab replaced, as the crack still shows and the slab now has a weak point. Overall, Emerald Tile is ok if you have no problems. They do not, however, stand by their install. Buyer beware.
