A Bad-Turn for a Used-To-Be-Great Restaurant

I used to love this restaurant and made special trips to Perth to eat here... but not anymore. My family and friend were treated like dirt when we went in the last two times, and that's when we said "never again". I was told that Peter's recently changed hands, and if that is the reason for this horrible change in service and food quality, then I will not be returning until it changes hands again. Perhaps it will be bought by someone that has a little bit of respect for their customers... Avoid!!!!!! Oh, and they changed their coffee and it now tastes like it was made with cigarette butts in the pot!

Terrible Service from New Owner!

I submitted a review in 2008 praising Peter's. Be warned... since the new owners have taken over this restaurant is terrible! Peter's is the first restaurant that I have ever walked out of BEFORE receiving my food in my life!!!! If you dine here, the new owner will treat you like you are invading her private space and will give you attitude beyond contempt!!!!!!!

Great Family Diner-Style Food....Yummy~

I've been going to Peter's since I was in high school in the late 80's and it's always great. The service is excellent and it's nice to have a restaurant where you can get regular diner food like hot dogs, grilled cheese and fries and gravy (and their chocolate milkshakes are wonderful, too). The serving staff is nice and friendly and a lot of them have been there for many, many years so I think Peter's must be as good to their staff as they are to their customers. Peter owned the restaurant for a long time, but retired a couple of years ago and the food has remained constant. Peter's is a great place to eat if you're looking for family-friendly diner-style cuisine.

The grilled ham was delicious with sheer audacity...

The grilled ham was delicious with sheer audacity in its presentation. The french fries were weak and lacked passion. The hamburger steak danced on my tongue and left me wanting more. The rolls were pedestrian. The combo platter was as fine an appetizer as I have ever experienced. However, the plum sauce lacked robustness. The service was slow though but the waitresses were sensual in their movements. In closing, Peter neither greeted us or our family. In fact, we suspect he may be a marketing ploy.
