The place is under new management as of March of this year. The selection of food and drinks was great and everything was delicious. The staff was very polite, helpful and friendly. We were a group of 15 and everyone agreed on the points above.
We used to visdit this restaurant in the past and after a few years when we returned to Canada visited recently. This is the worst restaurant you can visit. Bugs all over. There was no0 food in the buffet table. Ruder management. Food was not cooked or most likely recycled. Kids fell sick.It was a nightmare. Washrooms were dirtly and not a place to visit at all.
Bombay Palace Scarborough was a totally disappointing experience. My wife and I have eaten here before and found everything adequate, if not stellar. But I'm sorry that this establishment has skidded downhill terribly.
Let's see: all the food in the buffet was barely lukewarm, the butter chicken was a sea of sauce with almost no islands of poultry, the tandoori chicken tray had two bone specimens, the naan was nice although the buffet tray was completely empty and a basket arrived...half way through our meal. We selected two different bottles of wine from their list, neither of which they had. We were brought three bottles of red to the table, and told we could choose one of these.
We did get an offer of a refill of water in our glass, just about before we got our bill. The table next to us had to ask for one.
My wife came back from the washroom shaking her head...it was not exactly dirty, but desperately in need of renovation...and some, any, toilet paper.
If this is palatial, I'd hate to dine in Indian slums.
We had visited this restaurant early this week and found the food and service quite good. The variety of food was quite satisfactory ranging from cold to warm appetizers, meat dishes and not to mention the ice creams! Loved the pani puri (which i finally learnt how to make it). The veg fritters could do with some warming but the food was quite delicious! Loved the naans.
Under-cook low quality food buffet with dull ambiance. Impolite staff behavior. Would not recommend to anyone. Sorry to say but because of some great reviews here I wasted my money, time and the evening. Defiantly will not visit again.
THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT PLEASANT WAITERS AND DELICIOUS FOOD, I EVEN ASKED THE WAITER IF HE HAD VEGAN FOOD AND HE TOOK ME FOR A TOUR AND SHOWED ME WHAT CONTAINED MEAT OR MILK PRODUCTS AND EGGS, EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND THE SERVICE WAS AWESOME. THE FOOD WAS DELICOUS LOVED AND PLEASANT ATMOSPHERE. THE WAITERS ARE EXTREMELY NICE QUICK SERVICE AND VERY TASTEY INDIAN FOOD. IF YOU ARE IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD YOU SHOULD TAKE YOUR FAMILY THERE ,DROP IN AND TRY THIS DELICOUS FOOD!!!!!

Run-of-the mill. I have eaten here twice in the last month because of it's proximity to work. The food is OK - a la carte is definately better than the buffet. The waiters appear to have aquired selective deafness. The service pretty much stinks. The place is adorned with newspaper clippings touting the greatness of this establishment.... however they are from 1984....that really says it all....
Lunch buffet on the weekend is $9.95 I think it's $8.95 during weekdays. Weekday dinners are $12.95. It's a very very good deal although selection isn't that great.
There's always tandori chicken + buttered chicken + spicy beef and goat, then the other curries change around depending on the day, there are probably 8-10 different curries in total + salad, some fried appetizers and ice cream. The naan is very good and there is also rice.
I highly recommend this restaurant for first timers because you can have a taste of everything and figure out what you like and also because the curries are relatively mild in terms of hotness.
Fantastic food, lovely atmosphere.
Waiters were just fine, I am not sure what the previous person was talking about.
I have been there with just my wife, and as well with my three children. They are always wonderful to us.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!

The food was perfect. Exactly what we would look for in an Indian Buffet - fresh Naan, butter chicken, chilli chicken, byriani and a few dishes that we tried for the first time! The food was nice and hot and fresh. The automosphere is very calm and dim and the restaurant is small, which creates a nice relaxing environment. My husband and I will definitely go back. I am actually taking 2 friends there for dinner tonight! The service was warm and friendly and the waiters were always checking up on us to make sure that everything was ok and if we needed anything else.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
