I love their food...

I love their food. But out of my 5 trips there, only one was without any issues. 1st - the place was closed due to fire damage. Ok, things happen. 2nd visit was flawless, 3rd-they were out of bananas for milkshakes. 4th - note on the door that they're off to a wedding - CLOSED. 5th - today - they were out of rice! These were all Friday - Sat nights - prime time. Maybe it was just bad luck...but Sobeys is in the same plaza for emergencies. Food is really good though but constant mishaps like this ruin the experience. Will think twice before driving 20 mins to go there again. However the waitress - long light hair - is absolutely awesome! Great customer service and smile is def her strenght.

Everything Terayaki

I was disappointed with our takeout....I ordered for my wife and 2 kids. They wanted Chinese and we wanted Sushi, so lets do Vang's. This was the wrong choice, we are used to Nico's Sushi and thought we would try something different. The sushi all tasted alike, and there was a strong taste in all the sushi. Also, with our Chinese food...we ordered Sesame Chicken and General Tao which both tasted the same, a very strong taste of terayaki. Fot the amount of money it was not worth it.

Vangs restaurant is the only thai restaurant my family and i go. when ever we goes there we never have any bad food or bad service. Sesame chicken is one of my favour dish. I think Vangs have the best peanut curry dish out of all thai restaurant. I would recomment to any one that love hot food should go to Vangs restaurant.Vangs is my #1 place.

The wonton soup & the spring rolls were very good. we ordered Seasame chicken and they forgot to put the seasame seeds on, so they had to come back to our table with a shaker and put them on. I think they forgot the chicken as well. It was mostly all breading. We told the waitress about it and she said that no one else had complained that day about it, that was how the cook always made it.The waitress asked if we had ever eaten there before as if that should make a difference. She would not give us a discount because 3 people had not complained about it that day!!!!! We never even asked for a discount we just said how disappointed we were with that dish.. We were the only people in the restaurant and she never said thank you or goodbye. We won`t go back.

AMAZING!

Honestly, we are big thai, korean, japonese food fanatics, and we LOVE Vang's noodle dishes. We've ordered almost every one of them and think they're the best compared to any other thai place. We moved out of Windsor, but whenever we're back in town we make sure to stop at Vang's. Unlike a lot of other thai places, Vang's loads up on meats, uses great vegetables and sauces, and the food does not taste greasy.

Best Thai/Sushi in Windsor

I've been to Vangs for a while now. I can tell you I will definitely recommend all of you who are checking the reviews. Ive been to couple of thai restaurants, in Essex, Windsor, Tecumseh and Tilbury. If you are looking for a good thai restaurant, it is Vangs. Nothing as good as Vang so far.... My favorite choice is, Veggie rolls, Inari rolls and peanut curry noodles, sometime with a side of wonton soup. Ive always had receive excellent food, the waiting is not too long at all which make their service awesome. Although, if it is a busy night, it might take about 15 mins or less.... I do watch food shows and I love Gordon Ramsay, I can tell you, he'll like Vangs. So, why dont you stop by and give it a try! 5 stars, Vangs! :)

delicious

I have been going to Vang's since they first opened and have never had a bad experience. I have recommended the place to many friends and they all love it as well. Its always hard to decide which dish to order because I have many favorites. I usually start off with Miso soup and veggie rolls. Then chicken pad thai or Peanut curry stir fry with tofu as my main course. I have always received excellent friendly service. The atmosphere is tranquil and social. Nothing too fancy. Their prices are very fair. I will continue to tell everyone I know that loves sushi and thai to give them a try. Its a great place to go when you are making a healthy choice for dining out.

No service.

I would not recommend going to Vang's. Their sushi rice is hard and smells like it was left over rice! The Pad Thai was not the best. It was drowned in sauce that tasted a bit too sweet for my own tasting. The service was horrible. we waited 25 minutes for the waiter to take our order then we waited another 30 minutes for our meals. overall, this I would not reccomend this place to anyone.

Worse sushi experience by far

Vang's is the worse experience my wife and I had. We went for lunch, and we waited for 30 minutes just for 2 orders of califonia rolls. We had asked for no avocado and we received avocado! I then asked for extra soy and we didn't get soy until we finished eating one of dishes. We didn't even get our tea and drinks by the time the sushi came out. the service was very bad. seemed like they didn't care too much about their customers. this is definitely the last time we will come to Vang's.

Not a place I'd recommend

They are overpriced for the quality of sushi you get. Presentation of the food wasn't that great and I didn't feel the server cared much - we had asked for extra soy sauce, napkins and water and waited 20 minutes before he came back and had to remind him about these things! Compared to other restaurants in the city, I'd overlook Vang's and go somewhere else.

This was the second time I went to Vangs and both times the food was great, fast and cheap. We ordered bubble tea (Lyche flavour was great)which took a very long time to make but it was well worth it.

I am a sushi fanatic and there aren't enough places in Windsor or the surrounding area. THANK GOD FOR VANGS! It's the best sushi in town. The service is friendly--they know me by name--and attentive. The sushi is always consistently great. I've heard mixed things about the non-sushi dishes, but as far as I"m concerned, this is the best sushi in town, and the prices are reasonable.

Sushi rice was soggy, didn't seem to be freshly made, but premade and refrigerated. Miso soup was expensive, and is typically free at other places with your meals (as I've experienced in the past) The decor was bland, mostly a large open room lacking any decoration. I would definetely NOT recommend this to any experienced sushi eaters.
