Cronos Cafe

My Favourite Place in Thunder Bay: Always Friendly, Always Fresh, Always Fast Always Consistent, always famished when I arrive but have NEVER been disappointed. Frequency of visits: 7-10+ annually since 2005!

I would just like to say that after many phone calls regarding this site and my situation, I have decided to write my own review. I have been in this cafe for the past 11 yrs, it has always been very clean, food never disappointing and the service the best :):):) (wink wink) The reasons for me not returning are between the owner and myself, I find the comments on a disgruntled employee very inappropriate and extremely unprofessional. Thank you

Disgruntled Employee

I have been to this restaurant many times and found it to be excellent. The homemade soup is superb. As to a recent review regarding comments from a disgruntled employee who quit I must say that a list of dirty restaurants that were cited or fined for health violations from the Thunder Bay District Health Unit was published in the local newspaper and Cronos Cafe was not mentioned.I know that this Cafe has always been exceptionally clean in appearance and in food preparation. Several other comments from others customers have noted the same. Keep up the good food and service. Will be back.

snotted salads

Last week I over heard a conversation between the owner/cook and the waitress. She quit because of hygiene issues with the kitchen help. Not properly washing her hands after wiping her nose and making salads without gloves. I have been coming here for the past ten years and would have thought the owner was more into hygiene, considering it's his reputation. So sorry to see my girls leave, especially under these circumstances.

Probably the best place in town to eat lunch. I've tried just about everything here and never left dissapointed. Definately worth trying their milkshakes, they are awesome.

The best greek salad in town...do try the Greek Country Salad..less lettuce, more chunky vegetables. Expect real kalamata olives, homemade dressing and big chunks of feta. I love the grilled pita with hummus, delicious coffee, and big milkshakes, all served up with a smile by Denise. Awesome!

I've eaten here several times and the food is always GREAT! The only suggestion I would have for this place is to not be so stingy with the fries. The menu has lots for everyone!
