In 1906, Nathan Swartz opened the doors to his clothing store, Swartz Standard Clothing. Over the years the name of the business changed to reflect changes in direction and emerging fashion trends to evolve into the current flagship store, Swartz Fine Fashions. During the 100 year history of the business, only two changes of ownership occurred. Nathan's son in law, Sam Blumenthal, ran the business from 1960 to 1979, when upon retirement he sold to the current owner, Jim Shaen. Recently Jim's son Christopher has taken a keen interest in fashion and the marketing end of the business and now joins his father in the daily operations of the store to ensure the proud family tradition continues.
