My friends and I went there on a Saturday night and found one of the waitress' extremely rude and loud. At one point she was yelling profanities at a few people we assumed were her friends? The people beside us had an issue with their bill - and this young waitress over talked them and was impatient. We overheard her call them names as she walked away from their table, we were shocked by this behavior and it only went downhill from there. At one point she came over to our table to serve us and voiced her opinion on a conversation my friends were having - it was a negative comment (we have no idea who she is/nor her with us, but she felt the need to put us in our place), and afterwards, we all felt antagonized as she sat at the bar and shouted confrontational comments in our direction. We paid our bill and left without causing a scene. Sad. Will not be returning anytime soon.

good pub
I go to the mug for the pints, but have eaten there. Most of the menu is fried. Would like to see more heathier options. Do not get the wings the night after wing night, as they are precooked and hard by then.
Love the pub, always a good time.
I would consider visiting again, only because it is the only Pub style restaurant in town. The quality of the food and the service have gone down hill, fast. The prices keep going up, the portion sizes keep going down. The food lacks consistency, you could order the same meal every day for a week and it would not be the same twice, prepared differently and always has different ingredients. And don't bother complaining about the service or the food, it seems to fall on deaf ears. The last time I was there I ordered the fish and chips....it was still frozen and when I said something to the, very young, waitress, I got no apology or an offer to get me something else, she just took my plate and did not come back until we asked for the bill.

The Copper mug is definitely one of the best pub style restaurants I have ever been to. The food is phenomenal and the prices are quite reasonable. The service can be a bit slow from time to time but any restaurant can have a bad day. I would recommend eating here to anyone and everyone! Try the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken (lots of cheese comes on it), the appetizer party platter, perogies...anything really, I have yet to be disappointed.

This being the 3rd time in a month we have dined here on a Saturday evening,again, not disappointed with the food or service.
The servings never leave you wanting for more,in fact be prepared to take home a doggie bag.
Hint - the Adiago cheese & black olive appetizers are wonderful.
THE COPPER MUG IN TILLSONBURG IS A WARM, COZY, AT-HOME PUB THAT REMINDS ME A LOT OF CHEERS.
THE WAIT STAFF MADE US FEEL SO AT HOME, I'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED DINING CARE LIKE THAT BEFORE!
WE WILL BE SURE TO VISIT AGAIN AND AGAIN.

first of all the date and the amount of people is incorect,I go to this place all the time,with friends, and dates, and sometimes my wife, this restaurant/ Grill house is great!, the owners of this place are great people,wish I could see them there more often.
great food, service is o.k to, the only thing that will make this place better is the no smoking, that will take place soon.
This was my first visit and I was really impressed. The Copper Mug is a comfortable,homey and cozy place, with great food and friendly service!! I will definitely visit again!

This restaurant is in my opinion not a good place to go for food, for a drink maybe, but not for food.
I went to this restaurant with a date and we waited 45min to get our appetizers, I ordered garlic bread with cheese and we also had salads with our meals, I had a steak sandwich and my date I cant remember.. after 45min of waiting for our meals the waitress told me that the kitchen forgot to make my meal and they would have it right out, my date had her meal so we waited another 30 min for mine to come by this time my date was done eating and my meal just showed up.. I was so hungry all i wanted to do was eat the steak sandwich (that must be good it took over an hour to get)... but it was so full of grizzel that I could not bite a piece off of it. I then told my waitress that we would be leaving now and she then asked if there was something wrong... I laughed and walked out the door without paying.. I will never be back to this resturant in my life..
