You can't go wrong with $6 Martinis and a quality band! The whole night started by fluke. We were hanging out, watching television, talking... and someone said "let's go out". So, we all kind of went with it. We left the house and took a walk, which was when we found 'Bar Italia'. Gotta love College st! We waited a while at the door, then again, they were very busy (packed actually). Our server was pleasant and relaxed amongst the chaos inside. During dinner, our friend who remembered 'Shugga', made a point about them and how amazing that band is. It was a Friday night (and only 10:20 by the time we finished our food), so we all decided we'd head upstairs after and watch them. I personally liked the crustini and the calamari most as I am a big fan of cheese and seafood. Most everything was pretty good, but my friends much liked the bruschetta more. We didn't have to ask for water, and the food came out fast (15 minutes) which was good. It had begun getting busy upstairs as people left the dining area downstairs. We weren't really able to find a proper table, so we stood around, but once we heard them we realized it was a good thing we didn't have a table. Our night finished late after a hearty, affordable meal, plenty of martini's and many songs later. Great night out we loved it!
It was sooooo generic!!!! There was nothing special or unique on the menu, NOTHING that stands out or distinguishes it from other places in the area. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else.
What ever you do, don't order the days' special. You'll be hungry afterwards. Not that the food wasn't great, but for the price you should be taking leftovers home and this was not the case. Dessert was awesome, everything is baked fresh daily it made the experience worthwhile. Make sure to bring hearing aids with you because once the place fills up, you won't be able to hear the person sitting beside you. The food was alright but not good enough to say that I would rush back.
Excellent, as always. Somewhat expensive, but this is that which one should expect from a quality restaurant.
We have been many times to the restaurant and wanted to try the Winterlicious menu. Everything was really excellent, especially the risotto! The service was excellent and definitely go again.
Enjoyable dining experience.
Waiter was very strange and awkward other than that the food was great!
The minestrone soup was a disappointment and the rice seafood pilaf was a bit hum drum but everything else was really good.
