The Cyclepath

Back in 1988, Christina Carmanda and Carlos Carcao were about to embark on careers in lucrative fields when they realized they wanted something different. Meeting by happenstance, the duo soon discovered they shared a love of biking. “I wanted to be an accountant and Carlos was going to be an architect, but we wanted something else,” Christina recalls. “Bikes are fun, so we opened a shop together.”

Located on Danforth Avenue, The Cyclepath is a one-stop destination for anyone looking for bikes or cycling accessories. “Our motto is First Bike to Fast Bike," Christina says. “It means we’re here for first-time riders and people who want something more technical. If someone only wants to spend a little money to get started, we have something for that. If they want to spend more and get something suited to their specific biking needs, then we have bikes for them as well.”
