Meet the owner

Diane Fotheringham was always quite tall and had grown up sewing all her own clothing, progressing to home décor items when she moved into her own apartment. So when she retired from her decades-long career in the airline industry, Diane went back to her hobby of sewing and in 1994, started up Titus & Louise At Home.

Sewing accessories like bed linens, curtain panels, pillows and napkins at her kitchen table, Diane was initially a small-scale wholesaler, selling at trade shows and targeting her products to retail home décor boutiques. As the business grew, she moved to her current location at Dupont and Christie and hired a team to sew items in the basement, along with completing custom décor work. But with changes in the industry moving towards offshore manufacturing, she ceased the wholesale segment of her business and her ground floor showroom had evolved into a retail store.

    My favourite store in Toronto for the variety of her stock & the personal attention (though Diane also knows how to leave you alone when you browse). Great place!
